Don’t have enough words to describe the sandwich I had at this place of always been a big fan of Dutch crunch bread the small little place part I don’t really want to quickly say the best sandwiches in town in the city or other matter of fact in the whole country, but I truly didn’t expect someone to be that I don’t want anymore. When was the last time I had? A sandwich like this before definitely going back this time. I’ve got their chipotle bird sandwich, which is extremely good their sauces, the original garlic sauce, the jalapeños spread mustard, mayo, and they have chopped red chilies on a turkey and added bacon. the best sandwiches are maybe the best food always get in a little hole in the wall places like this top place top food. It’s having when I eat the sandwich I cannot emphasize the fact that the best sandwiches are maybe the best food always get in a little hole in the wall places like this top place top food.

Ordered the combination sandwich with avocado at Little Lucca, and it was outstanding — piled high with fresh ingredients, topped with their famous garlic sauce, and easily big enough for two people to share. The pastrami sandwich also looked amazing and is definitely next on my list.
Be prepared for a long line and no seating, but parking is easy and the sandwiches are well worth the wait.

Legendary sandwiches worth the wait.
Little Lucca is one of those local gems that truly lives up to its reputation. I went for one of their famous sandwiches (Lucca’s Ultimate Club), and it did not disappoint, the flavors, freshness, and size were all spot on (It could be eaten in 2 or 3 persons depending on amounts preferred). The service was super friendly and full of energy, which adds a lot to the overall experience.
The place itself is quite small, and yes, the lines can get long, sometimes stretching outside. But honestly, that’s part of the charm and culture that’s built around it. Everyone knows it’s worth the wait, and it’s easy to see why once you take that first bite.
Definitely a must-try if you’re around the area and want an authentic local sandwich spot with real personality.

This small sandwich shops serve some of the best sandwiches in the Bay Area and it’s a local cult favorite with a long line waiting outside.
I had the sourdough bread with Sausalito turkey with provolone. They use a special garlic sauce, mustard, and mayo that goes very well altogether. The veggies are very fresh too. The weight of just one sandwich is impressively heavy. Definitely a place to come back to for good sandwiches.
Unfortunately, there isn’t really a place to sit. You would need to take it to go.

Little Lucca is absolutely excellent. It’s a very small place but always packed, and for good reason. The sandwiches are 100% worth the wait, with so many options to choose from. And the Dutch crunch bread? Completely out of this world. One of those spots where the hype is real.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, this was so good. Came in 30 or so minutes before closing and didn’t have to wait long. Large menu with standard sandwiches to specialty ones with a variety of meats to choose from. Sandwich was big and filled, while delivering on the flavor. Surprised to see how reasonably priced the sandwiches are given how large they are. One sandwich can easily feed two people. Glad I stopped by this place and you should too.

3 stars for being solid but really its just a simple sandwich. Pastrami and brisket was microwave with cheese….Microwave everything if you want anything hot. Toasting the bread would make it better for sure…Dutch crunch was soft 🙁 but sandwich was large…..one sandwich could be shared for 2 which is nice.pretty much all sandwiches is the same except the meat. Small location with standing room only.

Been coming here since 1986. I guess ownership has changed and the interior isn’t decorated with the previous owners touch, but the food is just as I remembered and it’s still the best bang for your buck for one of the best sandwiches in the area.

While the sandwiches are excellent, the service and ordering experience was really bad. I am usually not one to write bad reviews but I am doing so for this place.
The line was chaotic and confusing. I ordered online, but when I arrived it wasn’t clear at all whether I was supposed to wait in line or go up to the front (the entrance was packed with people). It looked like the pickup line was the same line as people ordering in person, so trying to squeeze past everyone felt awkward and would clearly frustrate others.
To make it worse, someone told me to get in line even though I had already ordered online. Overall it was a hectic and an uncomfortable experience which imo was not worth the hassle. Please have better signage and instructions!

When you take a day trip to San Francisco- My Goodness!!! Little Lucca is probably the best place for a sandwich on the way to Presidio. Some dear friends recommended this place and I was taken back by the quality and taste. The sandwiches can be shared and it’s good to ask for extra spread. The dutch crunch bread was on point – they say it’s unique to the Bay Area.
