Arnold’s is absolutely fantastic. The vibe is excellent, the staff are the friendliest people in the world, and the food is outstanding. Seriously, I can’t even pick a favorite dish because they were all so good. The roast beef is tender and perfectly seasoned, the mac and cheese is gooey with perfect little charred bits, the turnip greens are packed with flavor (and maybe even better with a little extra hot sauce), the cornbread is a little sweet and hearty enough to sop up any delicious juices, the lemonade is homemade and nice and sweet (just the way I like it), and the banana pudding and chess pie are both some of the best I’ve ever had. Their menu rotates daily but I’m very confident that you can’t go wrong with anything here.
They do get very busy around lunch time and they’ll sometimes sell out of their popular items, so best to show up early if you’re hoping for something specific!

Best breakfast I’ve ever had, hands down. They ran out of the regular pancakes, but Kahlil convinced us try the sweet potato version. I’m not keen on sweet potato, but boy were those the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Everything was packed with flavor
The hash-brown casserole was also amazing! Kahlil even gave us a couple extra sides on the house. The jalapeño cheese grits, corn pudding and sausage were all delicious. Even the bacon was cooked exactly how I like it: crispy.

I can’t believe I waited so long to get to Arnold’s. It’s become a weekly lunch spot for my husband and I.. one that quickly leads to a nap We are both from small towns and Arnold’s feels like home. The food is incredible – comforting, delicious, and like a big hug from grandma. Service has been so friendly and warm. Must try: catfish, Mac and cheese, bbq chicken, chess pie, banana pudding…. Honestly, just try it all.

Cafeteria style home cooking. Everything is cooked with love and very flavorful. My 8 year old swears by their Mac n cheese. The roast beef is incredibly tender, the fried chicken tastes like your Southern grandma cooked it in a cast iron skillet. I had a cauliflower casserole that was so good that I’m still thinking about it a week later and I don’t like cauliflower. Arnold’s is an institution.

Great spot for meat & 3! Highlights include bread pudding and fried catfish. Customer service was more than 5 stars! All the employees were so welcoming and sweet. Would recommend this spot! Definitely worth a visit!

We sat down said grace and after the first bite knew we had arrived.
Superb food.
Cleaned out plates and went back for Banana Pudding that is legit home made.
Arnold’s we will be back and next time we will bring the whole family!

Where to begin… this place was highly recommended for our trip to TN. The moment we walked in, it felt like stepping into my high school cafeteria in the best way possible—chill, cozy, and instantly homey. The lady at the counter and a repeat customer convinced me to get the catfish, and boy… it was so worth it!!! I’m so impressed by it. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious.
The owner even had us try a spicy chocolate pie, and if you’re not usually a spicy chocolate person, this might just convert you. The southern hospitality here is truly unmatched. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind and treated us like family.
There aren’t many places like this anymore, and now anytime we visit Nashville, this will 100% be a regular stop. Thank y’all for such an amazing lunch!

Arnold’s was recommended to us as it was our first time in Nashville. What a recommendation!! The food was fabulous Southern style with so much flavor. The portions are definitely ample and you will NOT go away hungry. The staff was wonderful and helped out the newbies. If we are ever in Nashville again we will for sure be stopping again!!

I walked here from the convention center in less than 10 minutes. This place reminds me of the old Hot Shoppes. I got salmon and 3 sides (green beans, mashed potatoes and cinnamon sugar apples) along with a cornbread muffin and strawberry pie. I’ve never had that kind of pie before but it was very light and refreshing. Yum yum yum. Like home cooking. Reasonable price too. I got there about 11:45 am Monday and there was no line. Lots of places to sit and clean restrooms.
