Great experience last night rolling into town late. Went back for happy hour today and the lot was full, except for this sad boy that is more important than everyone else. Or maybe they pregamed happy hour! Either way, if you can’t park it it’s too big for you buddy!

We waited for our food for 44 minutes after ordering it. The person next to me waited nearly as long, and had to send theirs back over the chicken being cold on his plate. Very unsatisfied, but this is not my home location. Thanks to John the Bartender for attempting to make things smoother for all involved.

So we go to Applebees often. Probably at least once a week, if we’re counting 7 days.
They actually have some of the better service than surrounding restaurants, which is insane, because they used to be horrible.
But I would not get the OMCheese burger. On the picture it comes out looking like…. A burger that’s going to allow you to dip it into a bowl of cheese as much as you want.
Reality is all the cheese solidified after the first bite. You get one good cheesy good bite. The burger is good, but it’s not the experience presented on the picture.
Other than that… all good.

We stopped in for a late-night dinner after work. The greeter and waitress were both friendly, the food was good, and the restaurant was clean.
The only thing that prevents me from giving a five-star review—and this might be petty—is that this particular location is consistently out of something I want to order. I can always find a good alternative, but this time they were out of the simplest thing: the gummy shark pictured in their Watermelon Wave drink.
As I am a kid at heart, the gummy shark was the main reason I ordered it. The drink arrived without one, and while it was delicious enough to order a thousand times over, I was still a little disappointed. When we mentioned it, our waitress kindly checked but confirmed they were out. Another staff member explained that the gummy sharks have been hard to find and that they had even searched all over town for them.
Ironically, we stopped at a gas station on the way home and immediately found blue shark gummies!
Stupid pettiness aside, it’s a good restaurant with plenty of options. I’d just suggest that when a guest is disappointed—even over something small—it’s a great opportunity to make it right. I would have been delighted if they had simply brought a little paper umbrella for my drink instead or anything for the drink.

Ann was amazing when she served us. We didnt have to wait to be seated either. She was very on top on getting us refills for our drinks (which is usally a huge issue for me) She really did go above and beyond when sat down in her area.

Duncan was awesome!
Husband just came out from having out patient cancer surgery. We stopped in on MLK day. It was slammed. Hostess not the friendliest. We had our gdaughter 7 months and fussy. I was feeling drained. Duncan made all better and I left feeling better then when I went in. I even forgot babies bottle and he ran outside and caught us before we had pulled out. Customer service at its finest! Thank you Duncan.

The steak was ok. Texas roadhouse is way better. French onion soup was above average. The Ceasar dressing with blackened shrimp was good but too much dressing was slathered on. Our waiter was very cool!

Met up with some friends, it had been a long time since i had been to applebees. I remembered liking the mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken strips, and ordered it on the 2 for 20 (which is is own blatant false advertising these days. Youre looking at 2 for $30-35 if you want a normal entree).
I genuinely think it was one of those hormel microwave pastas. The texture was disgusting. It tasted so processed and the chicken strips were tiny.
The appetizers were okay, but im mad i couldve saved myself $35 and just got two appetizer samplers and had a better dinner.

Arrived at the restaurant before 8:30pm and it wasn’t very busy, but somehow after ordering our appetizer it took 20-25minutes to come out. The food took another 20minutes after that and one of the entrees wasn’t prepared correctly. We didnt mind waiting for them to replace and make it correctly since we had already invested close to a hour waiting and it was one of the reasons we chose to eat here over other restaurants. Once the order was brought back after waiting another 10-15minutes it was still incorrect and at that point we rather cut our losses than give them another chance to mess it up again.

I had not been to the Topeka Applebee’s. This was my first-time visit. my husband and I were visiting at lunchtime on Friday. It was a busy time ( we went there around 2:00 noon). But luckily we got the table very soon.
The server was polite and good at taking care of us. We ordered chicken quesadillas for appetizers. It was so delicious and had great flavors. My husband ordered a hamburger and I ordered sirloin. Both are so scrumptious. Inside the restaurant was so clean and comfortable. They had nice comfy chairs and dining tables. Also, all over the table was clean. I recommend this Applebee’s at Topeka.
