My boyfriend and I went to Olive Garden for dinner last night and unfortunately our experience was not great. Our server was not very attentive and came across as a bit rude. At one point she asked him if he wanted a refill but never acknowledged me or asked if I needed one as well.
We also wanted another round of breadsticks with our meal, but she didn’t come back to check on us, so we didn’t get the chance to ask and had to order them to go instead. While my meal was good, he did not enjoy his. Overall, the service took away from the experience.
We noticed other servers being very attentive and polite, so it may have just been an off night. However, when you’re paying around $70 for dinner (only two of us) at a chain restaurant, you still expect good service.
**Edit** – It really depends on the server you get. My boyfriend’s mother and I went to Olive Garden for lunch the other week, and our server was excellent. He was very friendly, attentive, and provided great service overall. Our food was very good as well.

FANTASTIC! We had a large party of 15 for a birthday celebration, used their same day call ahead reservations and were seated with no wait on a late Saturday afternoon. Awesome service and delicous food! Our server Nathan was exceptional, very attentive and friendly. Another server, Heaven, assisted him and provided great service as well. Highly recommended!

It had been a while since I’ve been here but we came on our anniversary I got the never-ending spaghetti I had two portions very delicious with meat sauce The wife had zupa toscone soup breadsticks salad of course it is Olive garden. Services little sketchy first but turned out great such it was the anniversary they gave us free dessert so we had the chocolate lasagna in all my goodness the top was very very rich and the other ways were very delicious photos are included.

We came here for the never ending pasta bowls. This is a great value and it is truely never ending. The only thing we really didn’t like was the Alfredo. It lacked in flavor and the sauce needed to be more saucy. It was pretty much just cream. Given that, the rest of the food was very good. Now, the service is where it was at! Our waitress, Wynema was AMAZING! I travel a lot all over and she is by far the best waitress I’ve had in a year and probably one of the best I’ve had my entire life. I know it’s Olive Garden, but that doesn’t stop them from having some great service. She definitely made our night so much so we asked for a manager to praise her.

i love Olive Garden but this place is not good rude staff here. Told us a 10 minute wait we waited almost 20 and then sat other people before us. disappointed and disrespectful. Server is nice he always is but the hosts and people walking around aren’t friendly lol

Awesome food and service! Chicken was well cooked and very juicy in Alfredo pasta. The chocolate lasagna cake was amazing! The combination of dark chocolate with sweet mousse was incredible! One of the best place to have American food! Lots of varieties for cocktails! The complimentary salad and soup were also good! I’ll recommend this restaurant to everyone! It cost around $25 per person! But it’s 100% worthy!

For My Mother’s day splurge on the road, we chose Olive Garden in Cedar Rapids. We drove from Kansas to CR back home to Minnesota, visiting our Mother’s along the way. We did not have a long wait, and food came out hot and promptly. We chose the build your own pasta dish options since the teen loves her leftovers. Delicious and hit the spot.

Server needs training. Place was clean. Food was soso. To many servers walking past my table probably shouldn’t have the table near that specific walkway. Breadsticks taste frozen not enough seasoning/herbs. Salad limp soggy. Shrimp and chicken carbanara was blah. Shrimp was decent chicken in it was gross. Alfredo sauce was good. My wife said well try again next year..I dont think so
