Walked in not really knowing what to expect, but this was an amazing meal!! Carmen D was super friendly & took excellent care of us!!! The food was incredible. And the place was so clean! We started with chicken empanadas then had pork, plantains, steak, rice & beans. We had the rum cake for dessert. It was served hot with an amazing fruit ice cream! Highly recommend!

Típico Dominicano is an authentic gem! The food is flavorful and truly represents Dominican cuisine — everything tastes homemade and full of love. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the music and atmosphere make you feel like you’re in the heart of the Dominican Republic.

I swung by to pick up an order of cheese empanada…and the dough tasted pretty old and hard. I even tried to give them away and was told the same thing that the dough was old. Nobody ate it, I threw them away. A waste of $7.08. On the flip side they now have a happy hour, I have attached the flyer; FYI only for dine in customers only.

This establishment is a true gem! The food was 100% criollo, packed with authentic Dominican flavor. I had the rabo with arroz con gandules, and my husband ordered the chivo with rice and beans—everything was absolutely finger-licking good It honestly felt like we were back on the island.
Estefany was our waitress, and she was so pleasant, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Her attentiveness made our experience even better than expected.

This restaurant is nothing short of impeccable! Authentic, delicious, fresh Dominican food with a lovely and comfortable atmosphere. The fish was fresh and seasoned well. The arroz y frijoles con mofongo was perfect. I ordered two passion fruit margaritas 10/10. Service was amazing and attentive. I will definitely be back! Give this place a try if you haven’t you won’t regret it

Hands down, this is the best Dominican food I’ve had in South Florida so far! Having lived my whole life between New York and Santo Domingo, my standards for Dominican cuisine are high. After a few disappointing experiences in South Florida, I almost gave up on trying Dominican food here.
Then, while walking around the area to get a haircut, I got hungry and decided to hop into this place. I didn’t expect much but when the food arrived, I was blown away! The flavors, the consistency of the viveres, and the chicken were incredible.
Highly, highly recommended! I also have to give a huge shoutout to Carmen D, my server she is attentive, extremely professional, and anticipates exactly what you need without having to be called. Truly unforgettable service!
