Taco Treat has the best deep fried burritos! They taste exactly the same as I remember them 40+ years ago when I ate regularly at their old South Pasadena location. Always worth the long drive from South Orange County.

I love visiting this place every time I’m in the area. The crispy bean and cheese burritos are fantastic and their hard shell tacos are one of my all-time favorites! Their homemade salsa is also great. Just remember, they are cash only!

So, so, sooo mid. Idk how this place has so many good reviews. This is like if a suburban American burger stand attempted to make tacos after going to Taco Bell one time. Service is rude and they rush you. Food is bland absolutely no flavor and too greasy. They’ve gotta be paying for these reviews cause I’ve been to authentic taco trucks that would put this to shame lol

This place is a classic. The best bean cheese burritos in town. The fries and tacos are super crispy crunchy and tasty. I’ve been coming here for years. The prices are good the food and service rock. This place has looked and tasted the same for years. Consistently good. Ten out of ten recommend.
The parking is a bit challenging but worth it.

An absolute treat for Mexican food. It’s a neighborhood hidden gem. I haven’t done a review on this restaurant and decided to do one today.

Family owned and always busy with great prices for the tacos and burritos. During lunch and dinner, Tons of people lined up for the food.

Fried burrito and taco are must order items. Make sure to ask for different sauces. There are other Mexican foods in the menu, but we haven’t tried them yet. They offer specials on Tuesday wu the great deals. This place accepts cash only. Plenty of parking spots in the back of the restaurant.

I double check the menu and I was trying to see if they claim to make Mexican food. Because it’s not Mexican food they serve here, it’s definitely El Paso brand-style American Mexican food. And for that, it’s pretty great. The Ant wanted me to pick up some burritos and so I did , lured in by the Monday Tuesday special on hard shell taco and a tostada. When I got the burritos, I did not recognize them. Because they’re deep fried. Yes deep fried. Once I got over my shock and had a bite I thought they were pretty good, although I never would have bought them if I knew and they were deep fried I enjoyed them. If there was ground beef in there they would have been one of the best flautas I ever had.The tostada was really good too , heaping with extra onions I asked for. There was too much cheese but didn’t ask for light cheese so that’s really on me. The hard shell Taco was unremarkable, Workmanlike. I was charmed by the style of the place is very mid 70s or even earlier, by the fact that they are a family run place. Next time I want to try their hamburger.

We ate all the time at Taco Treat when I was in high school, I graduated in 1964. I left California in 1968 but still have to have at least one burrito when I visit the area. I live in Iowa. I love this place!

American Mexican food that has been here since my childhood. The burritos are deep fried with meat and cheese in them only. I also got the meat quesadilla which is their ground beef. Portions for the quesadilla are giant and they don’t skimp on ingredients. Chili fries are good as well and can also be purchased individually (contains beef, beans, and pieces of tomato).
