Food was good as expected from this kind of place. Not as crowded but always had someone waiting to be seated.
The way it works is that you order something then when it’s served and you start cooking you can order again. We weren’t a big group. A group of 4 to be exact. We would order less than the maximum per order. Our 3rd order never arrived until our appetite for more had gone away. So hard to get servers’ attention to refill drinks too. Would say for the price matched with this service, it’s too much as you don’t yet your moneys worth sadly. Maybe other tables had more luck.

I usually don’t do reviews, but the service here was absolutely amazing and so was the food. Britney is an absolute sweetheart and she made our experience memorable! If you’re looking for good service, a fun environment, and GOOD MANAGEMENT! This is definitely the place to go, because of her I’ll definitely be back!

Today we came in to celebrate my birthday. When we came in we had a server named “Cristian L” – the place was busy, but that doesn’t mean that we need to ask for the same things several times. We asked him to get us some forks for my parents who can’t use chopsticks and the server never brought them. We then asked a second female server to please get me forks, and she never came with them either. We waited more time and decided to ask yet another server and he brought us a spoon because he said that they were still washing the forks. Eventually maybe about 30 to 40 minutes later we got a fork for my parents. We had ordered the meats and some of the sides and we were waiting for the waiter to come back to give us some sauces for some of the meats that were a bit on the dryer side, but he didn’t come back until probably when we were almost done with the meat. When we finally got him back to come back, we asked for sauces and again it was another 15 to 20 minutes of waiting for the sauces before he came back with 3 big salads, put them on the table and left. Never did he ask if we needed something else or anything. We waited again for him to come back to ask him about if he had heard us correctly and brought the salads accidentally instead of the sauces, (I thought it was because it was a bit loud ) and they had music on so that he might have heard “salad” instead of “sauce” …so then when I asked him, he just got an attitude and said, “OK fine I’ll take the salads” and he took the two salads with him and the sauces were brought until about 10 minutes later. He brought several sources that he kind of slammed on the table, and two of them were spilling from the little plate. He had an attitude the entire time. After that, he must’ve left work because he never came back. We had to flag down someone to please give us a check, because no one was coming after this rude guy left. Worst service received in a while. Woul def. give them less than 1 star, but other servers helped. I believe my uncle told this original server that it was my birthday, and they never came to sing anything when they were doing that for other tables. Horrible attitude & very disappointed. I say, you’re in Customer Service, & if “you don’t like your job, just don’t work there” but there’s no reason for you to mistreat customers.

This isn’t the best kbqq but our options in the area isn’t vast.
The price is decent for dinner ($31 pp) and you can pay an extra $20 pp for premium menu (that has wagyu). The regular dinner selection is pretty large. We mostly got steaks (amazing), beef bulgogi, beef intestines, beef ribs, shrimp, mandu, and corn cheese. We also got the bulgogi fries which was awful and cold.
Service is ok. They tried but I think they are understaffed or unorganized. Our drinks showed up like 10 minutes after the first round of meat, and getting more ordered took a while. Same with trying to get the check.
Ventilation is better than some other kbbq places so that’s a plus. Floors were greasy and sticky. Table for 2 was very small and immediately smaller with crowding of plates.

I hadn’t been to Gen in a while. We decided to stop by since we had a gift card. On arrival we were offered bar seats since it was just 2 of us. We decided to try the bar and what a mistake that was. I was seated at the end next to what was a station for cups and staff picking up drink orders. We were 10 minutes in when a waitress drops a cup of water. Luckily I did not get wet from the cup but then I stood up to fix my chair and noticed i was standing in a litteral puddle of water! We then ask for forks as we do not know how to use chopsticks and they said they didnt have any at the moment. They were being washed. We waited for at least 20 minutes for forks. Meanwhile we tried to eat what we could with chopsticks. BTW for someone with tendinitis chopsticks are harddd to use.
We finally received forks after I asked for a manager. As Im waiting to speak to him I realized the water from the station next to me was dripping water causung my sweater to get wet as well as my napkin. I finally spoke to the manager and his excuse was its a busy night. Which I completely understand but as a manager he should be on top of safety issues like water all over the floor which has nothing to do with being busy. Thats called being neglectful. He should also have a back up for utensils maybe disposibles for those busy nights. He did give us a discount I was not expecting. I give my feedback in hopes that there will be a change not for a discount but still appreciated the gesture.
Overall the experience was very underwhelming. Our server was great and kind, food quality was good as well but unfortunately I will never be back. It was the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a while. Reminded me why we drive to hacienda heights for Korean BBQ.

We visited GEN Korean BBQ this past Sunday with the family, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. There was a bit of wait, but I believed it must be good is there was a wait and I was not wrong. The atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for a family outing. Our server, Cristian, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and always making sure we had everything we needed.
The food just kept coming as we asked, and every single dish was delicious and perfectly prepared for our grill. We never felt rushed, and everything flowed so smoothly that we could just relax and enjoy the meal together. From the quality of the food to the excellent service, everything was truly spot on.
This was one of those dining experiences where everyone leaves happy and satisfied. We’ll definitely be coming back and ask for Cristian to be our server. Great experience, I highly recommend GEN Korean BBQ

came in on Valentine’s Day fully expecting a wait of about an hour to an hour and a half. When I checked in, I was told the wait would be about an hour and a half, which seemed reasonable given the holiday.
After sitting there for an hour and a half, I noticed that several parties who arrived around the same time as we did had already been seated. I went up to the front desk to check on our status and was told we were number 84 on the list and that the wait would be another 1.5 to 2 hours.
I explained that we had already been waiting for an hour and a half right in front of them, but I was told there was nothing they could do and that we would just have to continue waiting.
Overall, it was a very frustrating experience, especially on a special occasion. I truly wish I could give zero stars.

Gen Korean BBQ House in Rancho Cucamonga is definitely the best Korean BBQ restaurant in town. Despite the crowds, which can lead to a slight wait upon arrival, the ambience of this place is truly fantastic. The service is top-notch, with attentive staff who make sure you have a great dining experience every time you visit.
I’ve been to Gen Korean BBQ House a few times now, and I have to say, the food is outstanding. It truly is an all-you-can-eat feast in just two hours, with a wide variety of meats and side dishes like calamari and shrimp that are simply delicious. The meats are always fresh, and the salad and rice options are also unlimited.
While the prices may be on the higher side, I believe that the quality of food and service you receive at Gen Korean BBQ House make it well worth it. This place is a must-visit for all Korean BBQ lovers out there. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed with your meal at Gen Korean BBQ House.
