I LOVE this place!! I can show you how much with pictures:) It is nowhere near where I live but occasionally get to that side of town and get to indulge. I get taco salads just so I can dip the shell in their dressing. Had a lunch catered recently and I make sure to bring home leftovers. I love their dressing so much I will not even throw away the little remaining bit. I put that little almost empty container back in the fridge until I can eat every drop. Chuy’s weird white chip sauce/dip doesn’t even come close.

This spot has become our go to place whenever we want a quick and satisfying bite while exploring the Museum District. Its location makes it very convenient when spending time around the parks and zoo. The chicken starters and fries are always a hit with us, fresh and full of flavor. The menu also offers plenty of other choices, so there is something for everyone. It is absolutely worth stopping by and earns a solid five star rating.

The burrito I had was good and huge, maybe a little less flavorful than I was hoping. They put a good amount of meat in it though. Was not a fan of the tres leches cake. It was very thin, no milk on the bottom and way too much cinnamon. Prices were fair. The atmosphere and set up was very nice

We stopped by here while strolling the Houston Museum area. It was very nice and friendly. The meals were delicious (especially the fish tacos). We had the spicy shrimp stew and it was so flavourful (and not too spicy). I would have taken photos, but it looked and smelled so yummy that we ate so fast… it was delicious! (The chicken tenders were tender and amazing )

Always hits the spot. Most don’t even know they exist. They are the Gem of the medical center. The associates are always friendly and the the restaurant is always clean. 10/10 recommend.

I really think this restaurant is faking its top reviews. Tortillas are not fresh, you can taste the preservatives. Same with the cheese. It’s covered in the same dust as shredded cheese you get from the grocery store. The beef fajita meat was very tough, had bad texture, and no flavor. Try a different restaurant in the area instead. Worse than chuy’s, worse than gringo’s, worse than taco cabana. HEB sells 20 fresh tortillas for like $5, there’s no reason for a taco restaurant to not be using fresh tortillas. Gas station quality, downtown price. Staff were friendly, atmosphere was fine. My wife got the fish tacos and said the only thing good was the Coke Zero.

Bodegas delivered the best Mexican food I’ve ever had!
Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the quality was top-notch. From the perfectly seasoned meats to the fresh, vibrant salsas, everything was spot on. The atmosphere was lively, the service was fantastic, and the drinks and dessert were just as good as the food. Can’t wait to go back!

Nice setup as far as the atmosphere but that is about all. The food is over priced, overcooked and it all comes straight out of a bag from the frozen food section from grocer supply or sysco. The rice had no flavor or seasoning just added corn to give it the presentation it needed to look appetizing but it was completely BLAND anlong with the beans and salsa. Also the chicken strips were ($13 )HARD DRY & extremely over cooked and the portion size was off…along with the flautas which were EXTRA CRIPSY & the chicken on the ends from the flautas was also burnt..but they still sent it off the line to serve to the customer. The only items that were actually good at this restaurant was the house RANCH & GUACAMOLE BOTH WERE AMAZING

Great tacos. Our kids love this place as well. It’s very hard to find parking… but everytime we go to the museums or zoo we stop at this restaurant. It’s walking distance from the Children’s Museum and Natural Hostory Museum. You have to find parking if you drive from the Zoo.

Food here is bland and lacks flavor.
Guacamole tasted nasty. Rice tastes super bland, and the beans were just plain beans with tomato soup. I ordered the fajita platter (#10), but it wasn’t worth the price. I understand it’s Tex-Mex, but the food needs to taste better. The chicken fajita was reheated and lacked flavor. Adding some Goya Adobo would improve it. The restaurant also needs to be brighter inside.
The only positive aspects of this place were the staff and the music.
