Candice is awesome! She was our waitress and she was very welcoming, kind, and listed great recommendations of food options for our first visit. May husband and I decided to go with the following recommendations, so I tried the Caramelnut coffee, Blueberry Lemon Griddle, and Apple Yottala. My husband had a traditional black coffee and Spicy Chicken Benedict. Everything was fresh, homemade, and savory. I was surprised when I got the Blueberry Lemon Griddle because I initially thought the waffle would be dense, but it was shockingly very light and flaky. The ingredients stuffed inside were sweet, but not over powering. That butter was very delicious and slightly sweet. We would definitely visit again. If Candice is your waitress, you’re gonna have a great time!

Been a while since I savored Metro Diner’s chicken and waffle! Chicken tenders vs bone-in, I like bone-in! The meat is tender, skin is crispy, and waffle is fluffy when dipped into the syrup/hot sauce! Mmmm!
The avocado toast was tasty too! Loaded with avocado we added diced red onion and feta cheese!

I’ve eaten at Metro Diner before but not this location. The service was exceptional, I don’t know the waitresses’s name but she was super fast and friendly.
We tried the fish & chips and alls a breakfast platter and avocado toast. It was all surprisingly good. I’ve always liked Metro, but I am always surprised when I come back. Always quality and consistent.
We sat outside and it was nice. Traffic was a bit loud but nonetheless it was enjoyable.

This place was extremely busy and packed. Good sign they must be pretty good . The menu has quite an offering and the price range is reasonable. I will go back again and try other dishes.
We ordered fish and chips, and fried chicken w waffle. The fish batter was quite light and the fish was well seasoned. The fried chicken was juicy inside and the waffle was okay.

It was a busy morning yet I wouldn’t have known because my order was taken immediately. Coffee was hot, but not scolding hot to burn my tongue and food was cooked to order! Barbie was my server and checked on me and made sure I had everything before my food arrived. I was extremely impressed by all staff members and cooks handled last second changed orders from waiters very well. They all worked together to make sure customers were taken care of and people were waiting for tables to open up. Highly recommended!!!

Overall we enjoyed our late lunch and the wonderful service that Robin gave us, however when you look at a place everything matters. First, getting in when heading south on San Jose can be tricky as the turn in just before the bridge with heavy traffic is a drivers nightmare. Once in the parking is another challenge with less than 12 spaces so that means your parking in the Mall area. Once inside we were seated right away but the music in the background is really not needed. All three of those cause the drop in ⭐. Ordered the Shrimp Corn Chowder, very very thick but hot and good so 5 ⭐ but a bit reluctant. Bill ordered the Philly Cheese with fries and was hot and good but he really would like the ability to get some Ajus Gravy to dip but will also give it a reluctant 5 ⭐. I ordered the Caesar Wrap with chicken, really good so 5 ⭐. Was offered a tea to go even before we were ready to go, that’s nice. If we’re in the area we will stop in again, so should you.

Went to brunch a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. Cost is very reasonable and the quality was top notch. Got the french toast with the strawberry butter and highly recommend! We were treated very nicely and efficiently. Service was 10/10 with the kind and friendly atmosphere. Had been there numerous times years ago, but really forgot how great and cozy this restaurant is!

Never had a bad experience at Metro Diner and this location was no exception. The service was top notch and the food was exceptional. The gravy in the biscuits and and gravy was extra good, not over peppered like some places do. The eggs and hash browns were just right. And, as usual, the stash was on top of their game. Wish we could have sat outside but the weather was so nice that all the tables were taken. Still, the atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable.

Went on a Monday afternoon, not busy. Got chicken and waffles. Chicken was so greasy. PLEASE let the chicken rest before you send it out. Shrimp and grits was smothered in so much cheese/cream sauce that we had to pour half of it into a side plate. Four shrimp in there, a couple of pieces of sausage. Meatloaf was actually pretty good. Onion rings were decent as well. Service was meh. Had to grab my own to go boxes and wait for the check for a while. Also flies. Flies all around the table and on the food. Won’t be back.
