I loved this place! This one of the best, if not the best, ramen places around. Everything is so tasty, from the plates to the ingredients. Mushroom? Tasty. Noodles? Tasty. Soup? Tasty. It shows they care about the ingredients they buy when cooking the dishes. Just be mindful that where it says spicy, it is spicy. No complaints, will recommend to all my friends, will be coming back for sure!

I was impressed by the number of reviews for this restaurant until I saw there’s an incentive to give a review and get a free dessert. That fact notwithstanding, I would have left a review anyway because I had the best kalbi I’ve ever had in my life here. I should have suspected this when I saw it described as being cooked to medium rare on the menu. The slices were thick and cut off the bone to make it easy to eat, and the marinade was incredibly tasty. I returned two days later to try the ginseng chicken soup, and it was likewise delicious. Providence is lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant!

I’m a regular here—been coming for years. This time the three of us got the fried chicken wings, tofu soup, and kimchi fried rice, and we tried the egg fried rice for the first time… and wow, it was actually so good .
The wings are a must. Somehow they’re crazy crispy on the outside but still super juicy and tender inside—like, HOW do you do that?!
And the tofu soup is always my go-to—perfect winter comfort food that warms you up instantly.
Also, the vibe is so cozy—such a warm neighborhood feel, and the New Year decorations are really cute. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

One small note: the service felt a bit rushed this time—maybe they were short-staffed and super busy. Hoping it keeps getting better, because I really love this place.

Hi Im A Flying Person
I came here while on vacation with my boyfriend. The interior of this place is nice, it felt cozy. For drinks I got unsweetened iced tea which tasted so good, Iike it was made in house. For appetizers, we shared the fried chicken wings. On the menu, it says the wings are sweet and spicy but it was just straight up sweet. No spiciness at all. We weren’t the biggest fans. For the meal I ordered the short ribs. Those were good. It came with complimentary sides which were okay. I think the kimchi was onion kimchi, I wasn’t a big fan of it. The service was fine. Overall this place is alright.

This is one of my absolute favorite spots in Providence and in general. I stumbled upon it one day walking through the city and now make a visit every time I’m in town. The food is truly authentic, delicious, and sizable. The atmosphere is the perfect mix of lively without making conversations impossible to hear. The staff are very friendly and service is relatively quick for such a high tier restaurant that still fits at the affordable range. My favorite go to options are the soy dumplings, chicken ramen, beef fried rice, and the lava cakes are an absolute must – these lava cakes are the best I have ever had and are perfectly warm without melting too much of the cake or being too stiff. Perfect atmosphere for a date, friend meet up, for families, and solo dining.

Second time here and this food is just so amazing. My favorite dish is the scallion pancakes and the flavors are amazing. The service is well, and the servers are very friendly and easy to talk to. Also, they asked about my allergy, which is really great so I had a safe and happy meal.

Tried the kimchi Pa Jeon, sticky KFC wings, and stone pot bibimbap — everything was super flavourful and comforting.
Loved the balance of spice and texture, especially the Pa Jeon and sizzling bibimbap.
Loved the ambience and definitely would come here from again! Must try in PVD downtown.

If comfort had a flavor, it would taste like Mokban.
Tucked in Providence, this Korean bistro delivers something rare: food that is deeply soulful yet beautifully executed. Every bite feels intentional, generous, and full of heart.
The bibimbap with beef bulgogi is a masterpiece. Perfectly marinated beef — tender, savory, slightly sweet — layered over warm rice with vibrant vegetables that still have life and texture. It’s not just mixed rice. It’s balance. It’s nourishment. It’s a bowl that feels healthy without trying too hard, abundant without being heavy.
And the pork katsu? Crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, with a golden crust that shatters just right. The portion is generous (come hungry), but it never feels excessive. Just satisfying in that deeply comforting way.
The banchan spread deserves its own applause. Bright, refreshing, well-seasoned — each small dish adds dimension and keeps the meal dynamic from start to finish.
But what truly sets Mokban apart is the feeling. The food wraps around you like a warm hug from a Korean Oma — nurturing, steady, and made with care. There’s hospitality here, not just service.
Speaking of service, Pran was attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful — the kind of server who elevates the whole experience.
If you’re in Providence and craving Korean food that feeds both appetite and soul, Mokban is not just a recommendation — it’s a must.
Highly, highly recommended.

Highly recommend this Korean restaurant! I tried the short ribs, pancake, and beef fried rice, and every dish was packed with flavor. The pancake was crispy on the outside and tender inside, the short ribs were juicy and delicious, and the beef fried rice was fragrant and so satisfying. Great service and a clean, cozy atmosphere—definitely coming back!

We popped in on a Saturday for dinner. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated quickly. I got the Yuzu aloe drink and it was very delicious! Dinner was very good. With all the extra sides on the tray it makes it a fun meal. The jap chea with beef was really good! Would come back for it. Everyone else at the table got the bibimbap and the chicken gang jeong. Good portion sizes and presentation! Would come back again for drinks and apps- those looked good but we didn’t get any this time around. The space is really cute!
