Hat Creek Burger Company is all about fellowship and cheeseburgers. We strive to cultivate a family-friendly environment that is built around community, gathering, and fun. Always-fresh, never-frozen all-natural burgers, fries, shakes and cold beer are staples of Hat Creek, with salad and gluten-free options also available. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily, with locations opening as early as 7 a.m. for early risers. Our restaurants are built with families in mind, and each location features a unique playscape for children of all ages. We mean it when we say our backyard is your backyard.

If you are looking for a fun place to celebrate your little ones’ birthday – consider this location of Hat Creek.
I put together a birthday party for my boys here on the 6th of this month and I couldn’t be happier that we chose this place.
Asides a delay in reservation confirmation (due to the Thanksgiving holiday) – everything was perfect. The children had a blast playing. The restaurant accommodated to all my decorating needs. Let me set up my tables outside. They allow one table per 10-people.
Food was super fresh. They were packed catering style so it was easy to grab. We ordered burgers, chicken nuggets, chips-queso, sweet potato fries and regular fries. The burgers came with all the fixings on the side.
The manager who overlooked our party – was Amanda. The hostess, I believe was Emma. Extremely nice and helpful.
If there was one thing I would ask corporate to reconsider, is the ability to add gratuity. I wanted to add one but Amanda told me very nicely that they are not allowed to accept gratuities. And that they only want us to have a great time. While that’s commendable, I left feeling a little disappointed that I couldn’t do something for the team who helped me with my event.

We’ve been loyal for years, forgiving the early quirks as our kids burned off energy here and that was a greater priority as we would be on premise if something needed to be remade. As the kids grew, we explored other options nearby, but hoped today would be different and gave it another try. It wasn’t different.
Drive-thru orders are often wrong. To ensure our order was heard correctly, today my husband went inside to order, and three of six meals were incorrect.
The mismatch between inside and drive-thru experiences persists, and the overall accuracy felt lacking. Not only are the orders usually wrong, but compared to other burger places in the area (and I’m not talking about national fast food chains), Hat Creek is also more expensive.
There are plenty of other reliable burger spots nearby. If Hat Creek Round Rock wants to win back long-time families, they need consistent accuracy, better kitchen flow, and real follow-through when mistakes happen. Until then, there are too many other options. We won’t be back anytime soon.

This was our first time coming here and we didn’t know what to expect. The food was okay, I’ve had better at other places but their fries all though skinny were pretty good paired with their fry sauce. The environment and atmosphere was very welcoming, warm and reminded me of going to place on a field trip when I was in school. There’s a playground with tons of kids to play with even though I currently don’t bare any children at the moment. The service was also decent. Person who took our order was nice and helpful.

I was so surprised and ecstatic when I saw how many gluten-free options they integrated into the main menu. I couldn’t believe that the chicken nuggets and fried pickles were even gluten free!!
For those who are strictly gluten free, they will appreciate how difficult it can be to eat out safely, but Hat Creek goes out of its way to give us this safe option.
The other thing I loved about this place is the atmosphere. They created a huge lawn and really fun playground with tables all around for the parents to relax while keeping an eye on the kids. Everything is fenced and feels very safe.
Although there is not a location near us, I will definitely travel 45 minutes to eat here, especially when the weather is nice for playing outside!

It’s s a fast food joint that serves beers and burgers. Nice place to be while the kids play at the playscape. Enjoyed their bun-less chicken wrapped in lettuce. They 5 types of beers on tap. tasty fries and tossed chicken nuggets. Would go again only for the kids. Courteous staff!

Hats off to the Round Rock team for terrific service to our family Saturday afternoon Feb. 7. The manager was kind enough to reserve two tables to allow our family to gather after a nearby funeral service. A tab under my name was set up for ordering and food was brought to our tables. Everything was great and for people like me from out of town it was a huge help. Well done Round Rock team! Dave B.

The burgers are ok. Overpriced for what they are but still would eat here again. The fries are fantastic but last time I went here the person I was with found several hairs on her fries. We don’t know of someone was shedding over just her fries or what but that obviously killed her appetite.
I also really think they need to reconsider the height of their playground fence. The first time I was there I witnessed a small child hop the fence and run for the highway. This shouldn’t be possible especially with this place being “kid friendly” and right next to a busy, high speed highway.
Overall I will be back but I do hope this company takes the safety of these kiddos into consideration and installs a higher fence around the play area.

Huge space for kids to play. Plenty of parking. Decent prices for a variety of burgers, plus regular or sweet potato fries. Love the diversity of their sauces, too. The shakes are little – hard to recommend. Just an overall well planned local burger joint.

Great place to eat and have fun with your kids. Only issue I had was that the kids’ meals did not have a lot of food. The kids’ burger was about 3 inches. Other than that everything else was good. They also sell beer and wine

Looking for a quick bite to eat we came for one of our favorite go to meals- burgers. Having a family, driving into the parking lot the playground looked awesome! The staff wasn’t super friendly, but the menu looked yummy and my husband got a burger and I got the chicken nuggets. They had three sauces at the service counter and the mustard one was amazing! We received our food quickly and it was HOT. Both items were flavorful, juicy, and fresh. The FRIES THOUGH!! They were amazing. Best we’ve had in a while. The tables were sticky. Can’t wait to bring the kiddos!
