I love this place!
I ordered the grilled pork chop (mid‑well), and let me tell you — the kitchen nailed it so perfectly I had to ask Alayna to pass along my compliments. She was fantastic the whole time: attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without ever hovering.
The staff kept our table spotless like they were running a pit crew, and the whole experience just felt smooth and easy. I wanted to finish with dessert, I really did… but that pork chop left absolutely no room for anything else. A worthy defeat.
Overall, great food, great service, great vibes. I’ll be back — and next time, I’m saving space for dessert.

We finally tried this little spot on Indian School and 19th Ave after seeing it recommended on Reddit, and wow — what a find. We’ve lived in the area forever and somehow never noticed it tucked into that tiny strip mall. We came in the day before Thanksgiving for a birthday lunch and were seated right away. Service was fast and super friendly. The lunch portions were generous without being too heavy — still a bit much for lunch, but in the best way. They don’t offer gluten-free options, but if you’re going to have a cheat day, this is the place. They brought out warm, freshly baked bread with honey butter that was honestly amazing, and we took the leftovers home. The whole experience felt homey and relaxed, and they’re even open on Thanksgiving Day. We’ll definitely be back.

I haven’t been here in years. Every time I think of it it’s on Sunday and they’re closed. I was so excited to remember this place today and actually take my wife and kids there. It was my wife’s first time and even though the place just looks old it’s quiet and clean and nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the salad bar our kids filled up on honey wheat bread. My wife had the country fried steak and I had the fried cod both of us had the salad bar. We have plenty of leftovers to take home and our full. My son got the dinosaur pepperoni pizza or she was so excited about he didn’t want to actually eat. I’ve gotten so tired of bad reviews there’s nothing fancy about this place it was just simple good clean quiet and nice. The menu and the decor have not been updated since the ’70s and I love it. They do have beer and wine available as well.
We finished it all off with a large piece of chocolate cream pie. So for two dinners a pizza two one trip salad bars drinks and dessert are total was $56. Absolutely amazing.

This place is awful. Too many homeless, druggies hanging around cars. Also, smoking outside, not enough parking, not safe. The food used to be good, the pies not cooked. No one wears gloves. Salad bar not fresh, bugs crawling around. They charge for salad dressing. Roast beef , not cooked. Never passed health inspections,

What a delicious slice of home this place is. The meat falls right off the bone. The pastais saucey with tummy garlic bread. Everything has great flavors and makes you feel right at home. Don’t forget to try the salad bar

What a HIDDEN GEM. I seriously could have been back in my grandma’s house and honestly from the decor to the food it might as well have been my grandma’s house. Our waiter was so kind and the food came out hot and quick. The complimentary homemade bread and sugar butter was so good. But the pot roast and chicken parm were the stars.

I couldn’t tell you our server’s name. Apparently her back hurt so much she couldn’t come too close to the table. But she didn’t have a problem coming over to grab the final bill. It was a little off-putting.
They accommodated our larger group, which included children the need for high chairs. The food options were plentiful. Casual environment. Good value for the food ordered.

The steak sandwich was probably the best we have eaten in a very long time. Tender flavorful steak with peppers and mushrooms and a perfect au jus. The location and booths have been through some things but everything is clean and no frills. Service was fast and excellent. If you just want good food with out the frills, this is a great choice.
