Incredible quality and quantity of food. The taste the aroma to good vibes everything was 5 stars and I don’t see this often especially with diners. We got the grilled chicken sandwiches mine with cheddar and fries she got potato salad everything was grand and off the charts we both were excited been years since we’ve been this happy eating out.

The in laws and I rolled up to this spot and I left full and satisfied. Your boy got the banana and blueberry pancakes! Them thangs were made with love yall! I could have kissed the chef They made it just like my dad so I enjoyed them! I’m what the kids would call “Thicccc.” I was literally only able to eat half the meal. It also held over for the next day breakfast. Prices were decent for 4 people. The location is close to Stonybrook so it was exactly what we needed for a long drive back home. Classic diner ambience. Food seems a bit on the expensive side, but good portion size. I liked the nova lox eggs benedict (potatoes could probably use some more seasoning). Coffee was refilled promptly by the attentive servers. Overall, seemed like a place worth visiting again.

I was so happy we decided to have breakfast at the Lake Grove Diner. The interior looked newly and tastefully remodeled. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in the door.
The menus were new, clean and not sticky-lol. We ordered the Nova Scotia Eggs Benedict with a generous portion of salmon, the Texas Omelet, with skirt steak and the Belgian Waffle with 2 scoops of ice cream. Each was delicious and perfectly cooked. The home fries were the best I have had in a long time-tasty and not overly seasoned.
The prices may be a little higher than some diners, but it was worth it. The meals were made with quality ingredients and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.

9:00 P.M. 12/26/25 Saturday night the only two people in the dinner was my wife and I my wife ordered a side of sausage and rye toast and coffee which she said was fine on the other hand I ordered a cheese burger and fries that the fries were over cooked well well done and the burger at best was room temperature and did I mention the French onion soup was lukewarm I could have excepted the food the way it was until the help decided to mop the floor around us not one time not two times but after the third time smelling the ammonia and trying to eat our food I had to leave the dinner with out eating our meals I insisted on pay the bill because it was the right thing to do and the manager not so friendly and should have insisted that the help wait for my wife and I to finish eating before mopping around us it should be unexceptional in the management and employees positions very disappointing

We sat for about 10 minutes with no one coming over. After that, the manager noticed we hadn’t been helped and asked a waitress to take care of us. When she finally came, she only said, “Sorry I’m late”—no welcome or introduction—just, “Are you ready to order?” We were ready because we had already been waiting.
After we ordered, she basically disappeared. She came back once with our food. I said “thank you,” and as she turned away she replied “uh-huh,” which felt rude and confusing. After that, we couldn’t get her attention again. She also didn’t smile at all, which made us feel unwelcome.
Compared to other diners I’ve been to, the service here was not good. A bit disappointed—that’s it.

Kim was such a pleasant waitress. She has a pleasant personality. We enjoyed talking with her. She went out of her way to make sure we had a wonderful meal. We were blessed to have her as our waitress. Keep her around.

Went here on my visit to Port Jefferson and had a great dinner with my Ladies family. I had the deluxe bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was perfect! I could taste the char on the burger and mmmm it was delicious. Went back for breakfast and had the 2 eggs over medium with sausage and potatoes and the potatoes were crispy without the starchiness. The menu is huuuuge, it would take me years to try everything. Staff is friendly, attentive and the place is spotless.
