Good size family restaurant and bar with plenty of parking. Great service with varied menu, noise canceling structure so you can actually hear your company and the music in the background. Prices for us, middle class, can afford and enjoy I had the Ranch, Bacon chicken sandwich, friend had Chicken on Skillet and we devoured the Butter Pecan Blondie.

We did a curbside pickup. The young lady that brought out our food was very polite. The food was good & they actually gave us utensils for everything, including the dessert!!! My only complaint was on the chicken parmesan pasta, there was a huge fried chicken best on there. I just think it should be cut up. Had I known it wasn’t, I would have requested it. But, it was hard cutting into that thick chicken breast with plasticware. So, I ate around the smaller part & trashed the rest. No fault of the restaurant. I just didn’t know.

We stood a the front waiting for the hostess for about 10 minutes before she came from the back of the restaurant. We were the only people waiting. We were seated and it took another 15 minutes berfore our server came over. We ordered drinks appetizer and meals at the same time. It took another 10 minutes before the drinks came out and about 10 more for the appetizer, the restaurant was about 1/3 full not busy. My wife’s soda was flat, a got the attention of the manager she said she would take care of it, never saw her again. When the server came with the apps we asked about the soda, she brought a different soda back, with the meal. Never saw the server again until the very end, time to pay. Very disappointed.

Tonight was our first and last time eating at the Applebee’s in Vero. It began with the hostess, not bothering to greet us or even look at us so my husband initiated the interaction by greeting her and letting her know we were a party of 3. She walked us over past a handful of empty booths and sat us on top of another family. We asked if we could move 1 table back and she just asked, “why?” My husband stated, so we could have some space between us and the other guests and she said, “no, this is the section you have to sit in.”
We went in specifically for the big meal deal however we didnt see it on the paper menu. Our waitress (in training, so there was another waitress with her) came over and took our drink orders and we proceeded to ask about the meal deal. The waitress training her said its a hidden menu so you have to ask about it. She gave us about 4 options to choose from, one of them.being a bacon cheeseburger. My husband asked for his bacon soft and the head waitress said, “no, the bacon is cooked in the morning and its usually pretty hard.” We were surprised to hear the bacon wasn’t made to order but he skipped it and moved on. It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks and we were told our order was put in and would be out shortly.
Shortly turned into about 40 minutes, after we got our drinks, and neither waitress came to check on us once in that time. As we were waiting for our food, the screen on the table kiosk changed to show the many options of the big meal deal and not just the 4 we were offered. I overheard a waitress say they were at least 6 orders behind which explained the delay, but did not excuse the lack of attention to their customers. A simple I’m sorry for the delay, anything. Instead we were ignored. The food was good, what you would expect from a $10 burger, the fries were not fresh but edible. We expected a little more after such a long wait, but we ate it nonetheless. We didn’t plan on saying anything until the manager, Frank, made his way to our table to ask about our experience. We explained everything to him but his response was not at all what we expected as he simply said he would coach the hostess and waitresses, no real apology. We heard him comp another tables food right behind us who had the same general complaints, even just comping one of our meals for such terrible service would have been nice. Instead we walked out with a bitter taste in our mouths as crappy service can easily destroy a tasty meal. Definitely disappointed as eating out for us is a very rare occasion.

Last Sunday, after a long work week, we decided to treat ourselves with a late dinner. Since Applebee’s was the only restaurant open until midnight, we chose to dine there. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing from the moment we walked in.

We arrived at 9:00 PM and immediately noticed a can of soda on the floor in the lobby. Several staff members, including hosts and servers, walked past us without acknowledging our presence. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we waited over 10 minutes just to be seated.

When the host finally greeted us, she seemed irritated by my request for a window-side table and told us, “We are closing this section for tonight.” Instead, she directed us to a table near the bar, close to another family, even though we were hoping for a quiet dinner.

Our server appeared to be doing her best, juggling bar and table service on her own, which was concerning. We ordered the Classic Combo appetizer, but it arrived cold. The mozzarella sticks were not warm, the chips were soggy, and the wings came with the wrong sauce.

For entrées, we ordered the Bourbon Street Mushroom Swiss Burger and the Whiskey Bacon Burger. Both arrived with cold, stale fries. One of the burgers was undercooked to the point of being raw and bloody. Our server apologized and offered to replace it, but by the time the new one came out, I was too upset to enjoy it. Unfortunately, the second burger was overcooked, and the mushrooms and onions were raw.

Adding to the disappointment, while we waited, we overheard the waitstaff speaking negatively about other guests. Around 11:00 PM, a large party arrived, and we saw staff scramble to open the very section we were denied earlier, only after contacting the manager.

This visit was, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve had at any Applebee’s. I understand staffing issues can be challenging, but the level of service, food quality, and unprofessional behavior we witnessed were unacceptable.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future guests have a better experience.

We had lunch here twice while visiting the area. We like the 2 for $25 deal. Both times our hostess and waiter were excellent. The restaurant was not noisy and we had great experiences both times. A good place to enjoy a meal!

Julia is the best bartender! I had the Berry Merry Colada & she made it both pretty and delicious!. Check out the pic! Our food was great & we left fat and happy! My oriental chicken salad had chicken in every bite. The hubby was very happy with his meaty riblets. They keep us coming back for more!

I’ve been to this location many times over. Perhaps this occasion was bad luck of the draw. My bartender Ebony S. was inattentive. Not a busy Friday night by any stretch of the imagination. That includes the demands of service bar. Didn’t eat my side salad because I did not have a fork to do so. Nor was there any follow up from my bartender about anything (my experience, silverware, whatever else). Maybe it was a bad day, I’m sensitive to that, but, dang.
