This restaurant was recommended by my mother in law. The restaurant was very clean, I remember a lady who was cleaning and fixing the tables, she was very nice, she wasn’t our waiter but she was always making sure we where enjoying our food, I got a beef fajita torta I think that’s the name, and meat was delicious, the picadillo was good but overcooked, the enmoladas that was delicious.

The cashier there is always kind and patient, the waitress helps her do the tasks in an efficient manner, while maintaining a positive attitude. The cooks make amazing food and don’t make you feel stupid if you made a mistake on an order and they have to fix it.

The only thing I have to say about this place is they don’t refill your drinks very quickly and the food lately has been lacking seasoning. It’s good food just lack of seasoning. They are really nice and friendly service. Depends on who you get is pretty well. Good. The pricing is little higher than it used to be but still doable. They can get the food with seasoning and drinks refilling I would give them a five star but the cost three times I’ve been there it hasn’t

In our current society EXCELLENT customer service is expected and refreshing, but rare. Excellent customer service is exactly what Ruthie offers to every customer. I have been to other Mexican restaurants and Ruthie’s is now my favorite. I’ve heard there is new management and the restaurant is exponentially better. The food is delicious and the Jamaica drink is my favorite that leaves me wanting more with every sip. I was encouraged to try the menudo soup for the first time. The best way to learn another language is through food. I liked the menudo soup and it may help me improve my Spanish. I encourage you to visit at least once and form your own opinion. The new manager is awesome and really cares about the people who visit. Rosario always puts customers first. Muchas gracias Rosario for taking care of me.

The food was absolutely disgusting. My potatoes were ice cold and the steak was overdone and so hard to even cut with a knife. When I tried to explain they didn’t really care and shrugged their shoulders.

I came here for the chicken soup and menudo. Both are really good and the staff was really nice even when I ask so many questions about how they make the soup they were pretty understanding and kind. The chicken soup was delicious it’s served with tortillas and shredded chicken. Sorry I was almost done with the menudo when I took the picture. Thanks everyone I was so happy.

Tried the lunch special chili relleno. This plate came with salad, rice, beans, and 2 flour tortillas. You also get complimentary chips and salsa. Everything was delicious and the price was great. Service was excellent and the interior was clean and well lit. I enjoyed dining here for sure.

Today was my last day eating at Ruthies. I’m done. Its been sold and from that day its gone down. I ate there 3 times a week for over TWENTY years. Tonight was the last straw. The grossest chile relleno, which they feature on Fridays, and in 20+ years I have honestly eaten easily 200 of them. Total fail, pepper almost gone from overcooking, batter was barely there, a huge HUGE dry mess of burnt picadillo, no mas. Ever. Reordered crispy chicken tacos and after one bite I filled a salsa cup full of water, oil and who knows what else. Their beans are always too thick, inconsistent rice, temps off, dirty store especially tables and back floor. Every. Single. Time. I order breakfast tacos I pay a different price. 8 to 9.50 for 2 bfast tacos, never same price. Their tortillas are totally lopsided now which Never happened before. Yall their chips come out of a BAG. Not even fresh fried hot chips. Plates now Over garnished w white clumpy cheese NO thx. I will not be back. I am done. New management has only done ONE good thing since takeover

The menudo is made with quality and care, full of flavor and always satisfying. I also love the gorditas and puffy tacos — they’re consistently delicious. I first came to Ruthie’s in 2019 for their amazing breakfast tacos, made with fresh, homemade tortillas, and I’ve been a fan ever since. Everything I’ve tried has been comforting, authentic, and well worth coming back for.
