We came to Kona Grill on a Sunday evening with a group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.
Both my girlfriend and I ordered the tuna bowl, and they were extremely salty — to the point where it was hard to enjoy. My husband ordered the fish and chips, and it looked and tasted like frozen fish rather than freshly prepared.
My son ordered the calamari appetizer, and it was very chewy. The shishito peppers were also over-fried.
Our server was nice and friendly, but he never came back to check on our food after it was served, which would have been helpful since we had several issues we would have mentioned.
Overall, for a group dinner, we were hoping for a better experience.

Was running errands around the area and decided to stop here for dinner. The host was friendly, and I got seated fairly quickly. I sat at the table for a while with the menu without seeing my waiter for a while. I honestly thought it might have been one of those restaurants that you order online or on a kiosk. It wasn’t terribly busy, there were a few people at the bar, maybe a third of the tables were full, and I was the only one they put at the high tops. When I finally met the waiter, I ordered everything at once since I was afraid I’d never see him again. Since it was a favorite, I decided to try the Macadamia Nut Chicken, as well as the Philadelphia and Shrimp Tempura traditional sushi rolls. There is a sale that lets you get each traditional roll for 12.50 if you get 2 or more. I ended up getting the entree first, and it was really good! It came with green beans and mashed potatoes, and the chicken was drizzled with this thick sauce and accompanied by this sweet sauce that perfectly brought the whole dish together. I can see why it’s a restaurant favorite. The sushi came out as soon as I finished the entree, and I wish it was the other way around. To go from the high of the Macadamia Nut Chicken to the low of the sushi rolls was kind of a bummer. All in all, a decent experience. Service was a bit slow, but they were friendly and helpful. Food was good, for the most part.

Kathy was so amazing! We were a pain and asked for a bigger table and the hostess kindly accommodated us. Kathy waited on us and gave stellar service. Her recommendations were awesome, the food was wonderful, and she was just a genuinely sweet and professional person. The food was amazing especially the Sunset roll was incredible! Highly recommend.

Every dish I ordered here was delicious & during happy hour the prices are great so we tried a little of everything!
Definitely bringing family back here as the fries were so good the kids will love them. Service was also lovely and the atmosphere open and relaxed.
Parking can be a pain, that is the only downside.

I had such a great experience here last night! The food was absolutely delicious everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The drinks were really good too, nicely made and not watered down. I especially loved the cozy fire pit outside; it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the evening. Great atmosphere, great service, and even better food. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We came here to support my nephews soccer academy. First time ever being here and let me tell you! Our server Erica was AMAZING! She gave us great recommendations for the food and the desert as well! She was constantly checking on us which I loved! Treated my children’s with respect and kindness! We will definitely be coming back thanks to her! I stopped by Kona grill, and Karey the Kona bartender greeted me with the biggest smile, super energy, and the best drinks ever! Their “Happy Hour” is ‼️ If you happen to be near Boca Park, Summerlin stop by Kona Grill enjoy the food, and if you’re lucky Karey will be behind the bar. Karey, thank you for a great Happy Hour Experience! She makes a very refreshing watermelon margarita.

Dawn our waitress rocked it! Food was out fast and perfect order! She was pleasant and checked on us many times. The Monday happy hour deal is fantastic! Full 1/4 burger with fries was 6 bucks! Seriously where else!

We happened to drive by and stop to try this place and we were definitely pleased with the food and service! Our waitress Angelica was so attentive and friendly. The hostess was so nice and welcoming! Definitely the best watermelon margaritas I’ve had!! The patio area had the best vibe. Everywhere you went, it was clean, including the bathrooms.
