My husband and I stopped at Eagles Nest Restaurant after hearing it was a local favorite and it did not disappoint. I ordered the lobster roll and lobster stew and both were unbelievably fresh and full of flavor. Every bite was packed with tender lobster and it truly felt like a taste of the coast. Which is what I wanted to experience when I’m on this side of the country.

The quality and portion were amazing for the value and I honestly wish every restaurant served lobster like this. The service was friendly and quick and the whole place had that cozy local vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. If we lived nearby I would absolutely come here every day. A true hidden gem for seafood lovers and one of those places that makes you fall in love with simple delicious food done right.

This is a tiny hole in the wall restaurant sitting above the river we popped in on our road trip.

The lobster roll was ridiculously big, the bread had no hope it was being crushed by the delicious lobster.

Hubs had the unlimited fish and chips. His fish pieces was so big he really enjoyed it.

The fries and coleslaw weee really great as well.

We tried the Grape Nuts pudding- I personally thought it was foul but the hubs loved it- the texture and how the pudding was broken and weeping was a turn off for me, hubs ate the whole thing.

Service was solid.

Cozy and cute place!
Food was 9/10 so fresh
I had the famous lobster rolls w fries and coleslaw. Really good, lots of lobster.. Service was so nice too!

Unfortunately I can’t tell the same for the dessert .. “Grapenut custard” In my opinion it was expired or something. I’m posting a picture how’s supposed to look (the real one) and another picture of the one that I got.. 0/10 honestly don’t order it!!

We found this wonderful place as we were driving thru Maine. Got there around lunch time and there was a long line waiting to be seated. That was an excellent sign. We opted to order takeout. My first lobster roll and devoured the delicious chunks of lobster. We enjoyed so much we came back for clam strips for dinner. The people here are just the nicest. We were treated so well.

I had the half and half platter of shrimp and scallops. For dessert we shared a strawberry cheesecake. This is the best hidden gem in the Bangor area. You gotta eat here at least once!

This place is fantastic. Found it to be #1 rated during a search so we went to check it out.
Is small, sits beside the River, and can be busy and for good reason
The owner and staff were friendly and accommodating.

Perfection! Old school Maine lobster house on a river that would never again be able to be built on a river, Awesome lobster roll and lobster stew with locals having all-u-can-eat haddock. You must try this!!! Vegan options.
