Came here with large family on a cold winter day . Location was easy to find . Lots of people . They don’t sit you down not until all guests are present . Hostess not very friendly. They have lazy Suzy table and we ordered a lot of dishes. Presentation was attractive . Dishes are Taiwanese based . Sauces for most have sugar. Sautéed Leafy greens have fantastic green colors . We had water for drink s. A little bit pricey place . Taste wise nothing special .

We go there about twice a year. Today, the service and food were excellent. We ordered jasmine tea, soup dumplings, spicy Dan Dan noodles, egg drop soup and new year special lobster. The server was busy but he made a perfect jasmine tea and even gave us to go cups. We had leftover and he packed it nicely for us. This was the best service we had at the Jeng Chi.
By the way, the portion of egg drop soup is larger than you think… you can feed 4 people with Medium size.

All the food and drinks (from soup, dumplings, mains, desserts, teas, and cocktails) all were very tasty and the drinks had a reasonable price too. I did wish there were more chicken options in the dumplings for those who don’t eat pork but there are plenty of other chicken, beef, and vegetarian options on the menu.
Service and atmosphere were great too!

Came for lunch. It was a wet dreary day outside. Perfect for something hot and soupy. Jeng Chi was the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat. Their juicy dumplings were hot and juicy. Very yummy. I just wished there was a little more ginger to go with the dumplings but I got by. The spinach noodle soup was just what was needed on a rainy day. The broth was a little on the bland side but still good. The green onion pancakes were good but I think a little over fried. It’s really nice and crunchy but maybe a little thicker would make it perfect. But as such it was a little too thin so tasted a little dry. But still good. The staff was very friendly and came by several times to top off our waters. Place was nice and clean.

One of my favorite places to eat in dfw. Always hits the spot and the service is always fantastic. Usually get the chicken in garlic sauce and soup dumplings. Delicious! It’s nice that it’s next to 85 degrees too so we can stop by there after but they also have their own bakery and sweets.

This mom and pop restaurant has been a part of Richardson Chinatown for decades. Apparently they’ve renovated so it’s spacious and has a bar and visible kitchen as well as the bakery. The food has always been authentic, fresh and delicious. We ordered dumplings, soup dumplings, fried rice, hot and sour soup, mapo tofu, and vegetarian noodles. The pork and leek dumplings were addictive so we ordered another round. Everything we got was hot and satisfying. Their new bar elevates the dining experience with special fusion drinks. It’s rare to find an Asian restaurant with a good drink menu, nonetheless an extensive one. Friendly bartender Anna recommended the sparkling lemon drop, orange kombucha and Fu Dog cocktails – all were refreshing, tasty and unique. The Sparkling Lemon Drop was so amazing, I can’t wait to come back again. Service was prompt, polite and professional. Highly recommend Jeng Chi for best Chinese food in DFW!

the kung pao tofu was really juicy and flavorful! the dumplings were also good, but would probably try something else next time. only note about the kung pao tofu was that it felt a little oily as we neared the end, but most of the dish was very tasty

Good service, but food was very disappointing. We ordered 7 dishes: the soup dumpling had thick dough, salty soup but no depth to it; wontons in chili sauce were overly salty; crispy duck was dry; fried vegetables were terrible — bok choy was old and stringy; lamb was too salty. Only the walnut shrimp stood out as good. Portions were small, and the bill for 7 dishes was over $150. If you look for good authentic chinese food, don’t come here because this is chinese “american” standard food.

We had a great time here! The food was delicious. We ordered 2 types of dumplings – the fiery juicy ones and the curry chicken ones – both very good. We also had chicken fried rice and beef noodles – both of which were ok. The other dish we had was chicken with garlic sauce – yummy!
The service was great and it was very quick! We will definitely go back.
