Our tour guide Octavio suggested this restaurant. It was close to the entrance of the Pyramid complex. The food was delicious and the staff was attentive. Really amazing way to finish off our adventures at Teotihuacan!
I totally forgot to take pictures of the quesadilla trio before I bit them…

Such a cool cave restaurant experience! We had the T-bone steak and the Mexican Plate with beef, chicken, and chorizo. Everything was flavorful and well-cooked. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Great food, great atmosphere!

The service was awful. We were the only table occupied in the restaurant and it took more than 30 minutes to get a Coke. The food was flavorless and not at all typical Mexican food. When I asked for chips for the guacamole, the waitress brought me french fries; when I told her that’s not what I ordered, she said oh well and left me the fries. She never brought the chips and charged me for the fries. The bathrooms are also horrible. They were dirty and not close to the restaurant. It was way too expensive, especially with other better cave restaurants nearby (La Gruta).

It was a unique dining location. It was definitely my first and I liked it. The idea of dining inside a cave was interesting and adventurous. The service was a lil bit slow, the location was nice just mind your head coz there are rough and sharp edges of the cave, the food was OK. It was just fun to dine in the cave.

It’s fun to eat at a restaurant in a cave. The scene is so cozy and cute. Five stars for special ideas and good service. As for the food, I don’t know if it’s good because I’m not Mexican. But the dish I ordered parrillada “tlalocan” was delicious.

TLDR: unique place, great service, very good food and you can try local alcohol for free. the restaurant can be reached on foot about 15 minutes from tetihuacan. I recommend renting a quad. the restaurant is located in a unique place in a cave. waiters explain exactly what they serve. food comes quickly. I recommend ordering a monthly pot. You will be able to try several delicious types. Additionally, local tortillas and a portion of grilled vegetables are free. the pot will contain local cacti, i.e. nopales. which I especially recommend trying. This is a large dish, I recommend ordering it for two people first and then ordering more. after all, the restaurant serves locally produced alcohol for free, from what I remember, one type is made from agave and the other from rice. I highly recommend it, a unique experience, a great place.

Absolutely ♥️ ‼️‼️‼️ Very cute and cozy, Family friendly, loved the Mix Drinks, I the #jarito. The food is so delicious, large portion for kids/teen. I would recommend #lacaverna a thousand times more if your on a budget and want something like La Cueva. It’s about 30% cheaper.

A wonderful gem that out tour guide booked in advance. The ran out of the sopa de fideo that I was craving, but the Mole Verde was outstanding! My wife enjoyed red enchiladas. Will return again.
