Looking for a good seafood spot or bar on the water Monte’s is your place. Fried catfish and crawfish were crispy, hot and delicious.
Really loved their grapefruit Moscow Mule. Will go back just for that. Atmosphere is casual and outdoor seating lakeside is an extra on a nice day. Definitely a local favorite in Conroe.

First time here and wow, this place did not disappoint. The food was so good — legit Cajun comfort that actually hits the spot. Everything came out fresh, seasoned perfectly, and the portions were no joke.
Our server was super attentive and patient the entire time, checked on us without hovering, and made the whole experience smooth.
From the pasta dishes to the fried catfish and even the beignets at the end, everything was fire. You can tell they actually care about their food and their service.
Definitely coming back. This is a new go-to spot for us.

I LOVE RILEY!!!!!!!! Seriously from the second we sat down and after she’s been more than a delight!! The best energy? She hyped us up on our drink choices, she doted on my baby, all around just a lovely girl and even better waitress. We’re regular Monty’s visitors, stay for the beignets but Riley is my absolute favorite!! Make sure you come by and if you sit in your section yall are very lucky!!

Food was NOTHING to rave about at all. Atmosphere was nice to the eye. Service was not so bad but the waiter didn’t give enough information about our options when asked. We asked about the rice and he couldn’t give us a picture of what we were getting. They had a drink special going on for a pitcher of a drink but we didn’t go for it. We should have because that was way better than what was mixed at the bar. The guest in front of us in a both had a side attraction of spiders on their booth upon the guest standing and stating there were spiders no one showed up to help. Back to the meal…If you check out the menu when getting in there’s a deal everyday of the week for a variety of things. Lots of space to sit and park. I’m thinking maybe its just one of those right place, wrong timing. With what I experienced i would not recommend or visit this restaurant to anyone. Burned over a hundred and left unsatisfied and with a stomach ache. Worst crab cakes, beans and rice and steak ive ever seen or tasted. Our meals were manageable to some extent but just packed it up.

Went to Monty’s for date night, and it was unforgettable. The food is amazing, the staff is friendly and knowledgable, I don’t feel like seating is too close to each other, and we went on a fairly busy night. We will absolutely be returning. Oysters. Oysters Rockafeller. Yum! Yum! Yum! And you are right on the lake. Lovely place.

First time my husband and I ate here. Location – amazing! The food is SO fresh, and the flavors of everything we had were well balanced. My only complaint was our waiter. I understand it’s a Saturday night, but it took over 2 hours from the time we were seated until we finally got the check. I was super uncomfortable with how long he was away with my card. Around 10 minutes. And throughout the entirety of our being there, he was either entirely out of sight, seen talking and laughing with other staff members (normally I wouldn’t mind, I get it, but for extended periods of time???), or watching the sports game playing on the TVs. He waited until we got our dessert before asking if I wanted another daiquiri, which had been empty for over 45 minutes at that point. I said no thanks just to save time. We were frustrated seeing others around us sat, served, and leaving during the duration we were just sitting and waiting for our waiter to return.
I will absolutely return. Again, the food was AMAZING. I pray I get someone different who will care to be attentive, though.

Wonderful Cajun fare. Miguel, the manager is really nice and helpful. Wonderful menu selection. Our waitress Jamie was terrific and very attentive and helpful. This is becoming one of our favorite go to places for dining. Great atmosphere must see the catfish feeding hole
