We tried Cunningham’s Creekside for the first time last night. It’s definitely not a fancy place, but the food was really good! I had the blackened fish with fries and green beans—big portions and the fish was excellent. My wife got the grilled fish and shrimp, and she especially loved the shrimp.
Our waiter forgot to bring the appetizers before dinner, but they took them off the bill and gave us 10% off, which I appreciated. Overall, we were very pleased and will definitely be going back.

I wish I had more pictures because we absolutely loved this restaurant! What a lovely hidden gem. We went during labor day weekend, and we were able to get a table for 7 people rather quickly during the lunch rush. Our server was wonderful, and gave us great recommendations! I had the fish which was PHENOMENAL! The blueberry lemonade was great! Appetizers were awesome, and came out before our food. We sat outside which was very nice. We had a great time, and enjoyed the food even more! We hope to be back more often.

It has been several years since my last visit but yesterday was just amazing. The place was hopping for lunch, the atmosphere was great the service top notch. Best fish sandwich in Louisville no doubt.

The fried and grilled fish is fantastic! Each piece of fish is huge and tasty. The onion rings are amazing. The coleslaw and green beans are good, but not as impressive. The location is unassuming, but the crowds tell the story. We just wish this place was closer to home!

After a perfect day on the river, we stopped in for a quick lunch—and wow, it hit the spot!
The food was great, the vibes were laid-back, and the staff made us feel so welcome. Major bonus points for being dog-friendly—my pup Romeo definitely stole the show and soaked up all the attention!
Whether you’re cruising the river or just passing through, this spot is an easy win. Relaxed, friendly, and pet-approved.

Everything we ordered was excellent. The waiter was very good but didn’t hover. We had wings, fries, smothered chicken, chicken fingers, oysters, broccoli, salad and baked potatoes.

Great food! I personally prefer the Creekside Fingers, but have been told by others that the fish sandwich is phenomenal!

This is a rare gem! This location was packed. Great seating on the river, watching boats, and the food was actually really good. We ordered the fish sandwich blackened. I ordered the shrimp dinner blackened as a po’ boy. Both were really good. I would have preferred the shrimp raw cooked and seasoned vs previously cooked. I would return again if in the area. Waitstaff was solid. Mary, was very attentive. Green beans were good.

Update. Don’t bother coming to Cunningham’s if you have a service dog. You’re not welcomed. We’ve been frequenting this place for years. My husband, a double lung transplant patient, is facing his 100th surgery and had a difficult time breathing today, so I wanted to cheer him up by taking him to dinner at Cunninghams.
They turned us away because of his servicedog. To my husband, who was already feeling extremely low, this was a kick in the gut, which knocked the wind out of his already fragile circumstance.
Just a heads up, if you’re disabled. You may want to go to another place who welcomes those with special circumstances.
Past…..We loved this place! A great diner feel. Good service. Nice spot by the creek. Their Fish is great.
Good place to meet up with friends!

Everything was absolutely delicious and the service spot on. Shhh …don’t tell anyone about this local treasure on River Road and Harrods Creek just a few rock skips from where the creek empties into the Ohio River. Let’s keep this great spot our secret! The homemade beef vegetable soup, lightly fried cod fish on rye bread and freshly brewed sweet iced tea provided me a culinary pleasure that demanded repeat performance the next day. I sat outside creekside both days to enjoy the lovely scenes of nature and occasional boater and kayaker. Two days before, I enjoyed immensely a savory grilled whitefish on bed of rice with sides of broccoli and green beans with appetizer bowl of homemade beef vegetable soup and freshly brewed sweet iced tea. All fabulously delicious! Delightful meal on a beautiful evening! I’d be shocked if you visited and didn’t enjoy your meal, and I sure hope you’ll enjoy your meal even half as much as I’ve enjoyed mine at Cunningham’s!
