What a mistake it was to wait 4 years after moving to the area to try this place! We enjoyed it all! Of course we had to get garlic knots because they are highly reviewed and they did not disappoint. I ordered a deluxe calzone with no changes and it was really good. My husband got the black Olive special which gave small portions of spaghetti, chicken Parmesan and lasagna. They marinara was so good on it all. We sat in the bar which was great and atmosphere was really nice. The main dining area was packed w graduation people and the restaystill kept up with all those orders in a timely manner. We both took home enough for another meal or two. I get the hype now and we will definitely be back!

We love Black Olive and today’s meal won’t stop us from coming unless this becomes a usual thing. Always like the cheese steak (just steak & cheese) so that’s what I ordered. Took my first bite…it tasted “off” and I noticed it was greasy which isn’t normal. I’m convinced they mixed in ground beef with the steak, which explained the grease that dripped from the sandwich and you could tell by looking at it. Don’t get me wrong…I like ground beef, but not in my steak and cheese sandwich.
The garlic knots were great as always and the service was good, but disappointed in my sandwich.

Traveling through Tennessee, we decided to try this restaurant and so glad we did! The food was amazing, even with my wife needing gluten free needs. Her meal was a chicken parm with no breading and zucchini noodles. Absolutely fantastic tasting. I had a steak canzone. Probably the best one I ever had. We will be coming back. It will make for a nice ride on our motorcycle and we plan on bringing friends. Our server was very sweet and gave us excellent service.

We went to The Black Olive for a very late lunch on Sunday with another couple. All of us walked in with established “gold standards” from our favorite places. We started with their Italian Garlic knots and…well, let me tell you, the first bite is all it took! These fresh made doughy delights are doused in a mouthwatering garlic butter sauce and served with a generous serving of their homemade marinara sauce. We were now very excited to receive our main courses – and like the Garlic Knots – they did not disappoint!! The Black Olive’s Special and Meat Lasagne were both top shelf with a perfect blend of meat, sauce and spices – and the portions were so large the guys couldn’t finish more than half! Us gals ordered the Penne with Clam Sauce and Shrimp and the Spicy Shrimp & Chicken – both were exceptionally delicious with a pleasing balance of pasta and proteins! Nick was our server – he was very nice, paced drinks, appetizer and main courses very well and kept our glasses full. He also gave us excellent recommendations, although I have this idea that The Black Olive has taken the time to curate a menu of exclusively their best offerings! Yep. We are now all TEAM BLACK OLIVE…the new gold standard for Italian dining!!

Good experience on a way thru town however it seemed an outrageous idea we would eat at the bar…which created a weird as heck vibe. Food was good and the servers friendly beyond our strange as can be choice to eat at the bar. The portions were huge and food great…just stop being weird.

If I am passing through, this is my “go to” stop for great food, whether dining in or ordering a pick up order to go. My recommendation is the chicken pesto alfredo with zoodles.♡ My mouth is watering, just thinking about it. And because I am gluten free , they also have an absolutely delectable carrot cake♡ that I can’t pass up either. Bon appetit!♡

Received quick response from owner who said they would make it right!! Apologized for how our experience was mishandled! We went back today for lunch and the Mexican Philly Cheesesteak was delicious!! We are especially fond of their bread !! Thank you to all the staff who made our lunch great!! Unfortunately our dining experience this evening was terrible!! We both ordered the Mexican Philly cheese steak with fries. We were wondering why it was taking so long and when the food came out our fries and sandwiches were cold. Must have been forgotten 30 minutes or so. Sent them back and they brought the same exact same plates apparently microwaved – simply not acceptable. We left hungry. Our waiter said in the 9 years he has worked there that has never happened!! We go there fairly often and have never experienced this before either!! All I could say is wow!! We were there about 45 minutes and very disappointed.
