Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The day shift does fine. The night shift is dreadful. Tonight i ordered a kids meal, chicken strips, unsweetened tea,a cheeseburger and a cup of gravy. I was handed the tea, I tasted it, told the girl at the window it was ruin/ spoiled.she said oh, ok. That’s all. No offer to get me a water or anything else. When I looked in the bag there was no cheeseburger. I told her. She said its in the bag. I said its not. She rolled her eyes, said “just give me the bag and the receipt ” I did. I eventually got my bag back with burger and without my cuo of gravy this time( it was previously in the bag).went inside to get my gravy and ask for a water to replace the tea I paid for that was soured.whe I got home, the cheeseburger had no cheese and almost no meat. The patty was so thin,it looked as if it was shaved off of the top of a patty already cooked . So thin in fact, it had a hole in the middle of it.

I never leave reviews, but I called and they didn’t answer so I will say it here. Every single time me and my coworkers order uber eats from here, they don’t put the ketchup that we ask for. We don’t get lunch breaks, so we have to order. Uber eats orders matter just as much as in person orders. We always make sure to put the ketchup on our orders. For a while they weren’t giving us straws either, but they recently stopped that. This has been an ongoing issue for many weeks. Their food is great, but I don’t want their onion rings or fries without ketchup.

This is my neighborhood Whataburger. I’ve lived here over 3 years, and after multiple attempts and changes, I’ve had to start driving out to other neighborhoods to get my WB fix. This location is just so terrible! They’re understaffed all the time, so the wait for food is insane. They never get an order completely right; stuff is always missing or prepared wrong. They hate talking to customers, so it’s almost impossible to get problems fixed. And the curbside pickup is a joke. Tried it twice and had to go in to get my food each time after waiting half an hour in my car after checking in, only to find my food sitting on the counter cold each time (always missing something). Drive through takes forever. Eating in takes forever. People clutter up the parking lot asking you to buy them food. I just can’t seem to find a way to get food at this location that actually works well. I wanted it to be good!! I have given up altogether. The employees seem really overwhelmed and unhappy- my guess is management is pretty bad. There are 3 other locations within a 15 minute drive of this one; go to one of them instead. That’s what I have to do now.

I had a bad experience here. I went for their grand opening and even though they were busy, it took them way longer than expected. I ordered an avocado bacon burger, an order of chicken bites, and an order of onion rings.
I ordered at 7:27pm inside the restaurant. They had a full staff of teenagers who were gossiping and not focusing on their task at hand. They probably had about 20 teenagers with 3 adults. After the people behind me got their orders, I questioned the person at the counter about my order. She asked the teenager working who went to another teenager who said she didn’t know about my order. Finally, I flagged down an adult manager who said they were waiting on the chicken bites. It was 7:47pm at this point. I then saw the manager go to the teenager working the chicken station and they argued back and forth. The manager then told me it would be three minutes before my order was ready. Sure enough, three minutes later, the manager gave me my order of chicken bites. No burger. No onion rings. I then showed him my receipt and he apologized and said the rings were ready and out them in a bag for me. I then asked about my burger and they made it right then. It took close to 25 minutes to get my “fast food.”
Hopefully, no one will have the same experience.

Classic Texas favorite with consistently good burgers and friendly service. The food is fresh, made to order, and hits the spot every time. Great place for a quick, satisfying meal—especially late at night.

A group of us dined in at this location last night after taking our kids to a Halloween event. I wanted to leave a review because the girl who helped us, Kaytlynn (sorry if I spelled it wrong girl) was sooooo great. I’ve never had service like this from a fast food place. She was attentive and friendly. Her positive attitude was really welcoming. The food was great, The restaurant was clean, but the service was extraordinary!! Thank you!! ❤️ – The Devil

I buy food from this whataburger often, but last night I bought a double cheeseburger and shared with my 1 year old and we woke up at midnight with the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had in my entire life. My almost 1 year old was puking all night and it was the scariest experience of my life. I was on the brink of passing out all night, hands and feet tingling, hands stiffening out. I will never eat at Whataburger again after last night. Y’all need to reevaluate the kitchen cleanliness or your employees because that shouldn’t have happened to me and my child last night.

I always wondered why they call it a breakfast tequito instead of a breakfast burrito? I’m assuming because they don’t want us to have high expectations on the amount of egg and sausage they put in it. At $4 each I would think you could add more. At least the amount you would put on a breakfast on a bun. Which is similar to costs.
