I don’t typically give out 5-star ratings easily, but this place truly deserves it.
The bean and cheese tacos were exceptional—easily some of the best I’ve had. I also appreciate that they use two tortillas for every taco; it’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference. Their condiment bar is another highlight, offering a variety of fresh and flavorful options. The spicy salsa and avocado salsa together were absolutely perfect.
The service was outstanding. Every employee we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. I want to give a special mention to Flor—her warm smile and kindness stood out, and she made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you, Flor, for the wonderful customer service!
The atmosphere was great as well. The holiday decorations added a nice touch, the music was at the perfect volume, and the outdoor seating area is a plus. We also appreciated the complimentary chips when dining in.
Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!

With the exception of their flour tortillas, and of course this is just MY preference. I’m partial to my grandma’s homemade flour tortillas lol … I LOVE the food here! It’s is always full of flavor, authentic flavor. It’s always satisfying and taste like someone cares to make sure it’s always the best. From their Matamoros Tacos to their Fideo, Beans, Crispy Tacos and chips and Queso! It is never disappointing. And I recently discovered their Caldo de Res, which is hard to find made well for my mother, but she was very pleased. Needless to say, we visit her frequently for my mother as much as we do for ourselves! If I could go back in time and thank my Uber clients that turned me to this place years ago, I so would! … If you are thinking about trying them, don’t think, just do it!

I’ve been to the Taco Palenque in Laredo, Texas, and decided to try this one out in New Braunfels—and just like the original, it does not disappoint! The food is excellent, fresh, and full of flavor. The customer service is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.
They have a great selection of salsas and even offer chips, which is a nice touch. It’s a great little restaurant that delivers big on taste and value. Definitely one of the best bangs for your buck when it comes to authentic Mexican food. Highly recommend!

I’ve finally decided to give up on all Taco Palenque locations based on how they make their impossible burritos. I LOVE that they offer a vegetarian option, but I HATE how they deliver the end product. It doesn’t matter what location you go to, they all do this. They put all of the impossible meat into a single big ball and stuff it in one side of the burrito. They also do this with the avocado. Only the beans and rice are distributed. So you bite into the burrito and you either get a mouthful of avocado or impossible Burger. It’s honestly gross. You wouldn’t do this with ground beef so why would you treat impossible ground any differently? Not to mention the burrito I got last night had rotten impossible in it from this location.

This was our first time eating at Taco Palenque as we were down in San Antonio for a quick escape. I had heard of their food and we wanted to experience it. Let me tell you, the food was delicious and all the staff was attentive and smiling. You can tell they take pride in their work. This establishment is clean and the food is fresh and delicious. If I find myself on San Antonio again, I’ll definitely be back.

Drive through, got two casera tacos that were absolutely what I needed. Not the best tacos out there but better than any other fast food tacos by a good bit. Refried beans were loaded with lard, which I enjoyed but veggies might want to avoid.
