He even made a fresh cup of coffee for me. Very considerate.
The bathrooms were clean, had supplies and warm water @the sink.
I appreciate his attention to detail.
This is a positive experience in the rain, in traffic, after my long day:
Thank you.
Hey, it’s “My Pleasure”
On the first visit, my day had been largely enjoyable, aside from a brief frustration at Walmart while navigating the parking lot. After that irritation, Chick-fil-A appeared almost luminous, like an invitation. I took it as a sign to indulge in a seasonal peppermint milkshake—a small reward for an already good day.
The drive-thru was quiet. I placed my order, said thank you, and waited, listening for the familiar phrase that has become synonymous with the brand. It never came. The woman taking my order failed to say my pleasure. The omission unsettled me more than it should have, leaving me quietly irritated, as though something essential had been withheld.
Relief arrived only when the employee handing me my drink finally said it—“My pleasure”—with genuine grace. In that moment, the imbalance was corrected.
The second visit offered no such redemption. Using two Christmas gift cards, I ordered a simple fried chicken sandwich meal. This time, neither employee said the phrase. The absence lingered, producing a dull, revolting sensation in the back of my mind. My appetite faded. The food felt hollow, stripped of its satisfaction.
Without my pleasure, the experience lost its flavor.
