We love Torchys, this location is great! Had an issue with undercooked rice and they immediately fixed it with a fresh bowl. Everything was fresh, hot and full of flavor! Great drink variety too.

I’m starting to believe the avocados at this restaurant are part of an elaborate witness protection program, because despite paying for them every single time… they never show up.

At this point, ordering avocado feels less like a food choice and more like a leap of faith. The receipt says avocado. The price definitely says avocado. But the taco? Emotionally avocado, at best.

Don’t get me wrong — the food is great. I just wish my avocados and I could finally meet in person instead of maintaining this long-distance relationship funded entirely by me.

I’ll be back (apparently to keep financially supporting invisible avocados), but one day I hope to experience the luxury of actually eating the avocado I paid for.

Torchy’s is “damn good” as their sign advertises. There is a large variety of tacos and other tex-max flair to choose from. I used to love ordering “The Republican” when I was a smoked sausage taco with delicious leaving. Making is trashy? 10/10 im in heaven. They changed it aome time ago ro be some shredded beer adventure which, while good, does not hold a candle to the original.

You can always expect the wait staff to be helpful, and while it’s always a little crowded for my taste, it could make a good 1st date venue for younger folks.

Torchys used to be AMAZING. I remember when tacos were $2.50 each and loaded. Now it’s around $7 a taco and they are literally a quarter of the size they used to be. The flavor is also a huge disappointment now. It’s been around 2 years since we’ve ordered because the prices and the flavor. Saw they had a deal and decided to give it another try. So much worse than I remember. I miss the old torchys flavor and portions. Wouldn’t mind the price if quality had stayed the same. Such a bummer

We were sadly disappointed with this Torchy’s. We’d been driving for days from Montana and hadn’t been to a Torchy’s in over a year, so we were really excited. Unfortunately, the food was sub-par for Torchy’s typical standards. The fried corn shell in my Matador was rock hard, cold, and stale,so the cheese was cold and unmelted. It was basically a stale chip and cold cheese wrapped in a tortilla. Not pleasant. We also got the chips and queso which is usually the star of the show, but several chips were also stale and there were pools of grease in the chip basket as though they were scraping the bottom of a chip basket that really hadn’t been cleaned out in a while — and serving those dregs. No one checked on us while we were dining, so we left disappointed. My son did enjoy his bean and cheese taco. All in all, I left wishing I’d saved my money for an Austin location as this one was mediocre and over-priced for the quality and lackluster service.

Was my first time going and the lady behind the register help me alot. Each taco or burrito costs about $5 but they’re really good and stuffed like crazy. I ordered 2 and was satisfied.
Its like fast food restaurants but doesnt taste like fast food. You go to the register order before you sit down and then they bring you your food. Will be going again.

We used to live in Austin when Torchy’s was a food truck, and they had one brick and mortar store. We loved it then, and we wish one would open in Albuquerque! My only complaint is that they have removed some of our favorite tacos from the menu.
