The food here is some of the best I’ve had anywhere in Harrison — and even in New Jersey. We found this place on Instagram and reached out to them about hosting one of our office parties. One of our team members had come here before and recommended that we book it.

They gave us a really good price per head, and the food was amazing. They were serving Chicken 65, butter lamb chops, and outstanding shrimp dishes that were being passed around. I didn’t get to try everything, but I can tell you that what I had was incredible.

I would highly recommend the lamb chops, Hyderabadi Chicken 65 Biryani, Shrimp Pataka, and Crispy Corn Chaat. Their Navratan Korma, Dal Makhani and tandoori naan were also absolutely delicious. For Dessert they brought out a bunch of different house-made ice creams.. The Cassata was my favorite.

And the atmosphere — when we walked in, it felt like we were transported to an NYC restaurant. This place truly has the vibe of a New York City spot, but the food isn’t just hype.

The drinks were also some of the best Indian drinks I’ve ever had — tamarind margaritas, chai martinis, and all kinds of fun cocktails. The bartender was great, too.

We’ve been in this area for a while, but this was our first time here. It’s definitely the best Indian restaurant in Harrison, and maybe even in New Jersey. We’re definitely coming back with the family.

Very classy and modern restaurant! The service is very nice and we were checked in on often. We’ve tried the butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, lamb Rogan Josh, and shahi chicken kofta. Highly recommend mango lassi as well. It was a refreshing drink that balanced out the Indian spices. For me, medium spice level was good as someone who loves spicy food. Would come back again.

Tried Urban Tandoor in Harrison and it turned out way better than expected.
We ordered the Urban Goat Curry (medium spicy) — the server warned us it would be spicy, and he wasn’t kidding. The heat hits immediately, but in a good way. The goat was tender, flavorful, and cooked down really well with the spices. If you enjoy real spice, this one delivers.

We also had the Chettinad Chicken, ordered mild. It wasn’t spicy at all — no heat, just the flavor of the spices. The sauce was a bit one-note for me, but still okay with naan.

Overall: great goat curry, solid portions, friendly service.
If you’re looking for authentic Indian spice, definitely try the goat dish here.

Stopped by Urban Tandoor for an impromptu weekend dinner — it was pretty empty there around 6pm, but while eating there were a few tables coming in and out (and lots of takeout orders, too). The restaurant is pretty spacious with lots of tables, but not very well-lit.

For the two of us, we ordered the chicken tikka masala and the aloo gobi to share. The chicken tikka masala was fantastic. The chicken was very tender and so flavourful, and the rich sauce had just the right amount of spicyness (that I could handle haha). The aloo gobi was also very delicious. The potatoes were nicely cooked to a soft fluffiness, and the flavour was so well-balanced (again without being too spicy or savoury to drown out the other spices).

The service was very kind and prompt — our servers were eager to answer questions we had about the menu, speedy with bringing/refilling water, and just very friendly in all our interactions with them.

Price point was great, too — we even had a bit of leftovers to take home to accompany our next meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area!

We recently visited Urban Tandoor restaurant and had a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and there wasn’t much crowd in the afternoon. The food was tasty — we tried Schezwan Fried Rice, Malai Kofta, Garlic Naan, and the standout dish, Cauliflower Pataka. The prices were slightly above average, but the ambiance was nice. Overall, we were happy with our visit. However, finding street parking was quite challenging, and I didn’t notice any Wi-Fi information available.

I came for happy hour and it was amazing! My bartender Sahram was amazing! He gave good recommendations and made the drinks really good and strong, just how I like it. I ordered curry chicken, my drinks were mint margarita, rum mojito and a chocolate espresso martini. I would definitely recommend!

We stopped by Urban Tandoor for dinner after a party nearby. Their reviews on Google looked great, so we wanted to give it a try and ordered goat biryani. The biryani was between average and good, but it didn’t have the rich biryani flavor I expected, and the portion felt smaller compared to other places. Overall, I wasn’t fully satisfied!!

Upscale Indian restaurant at Harrison NJ. Street parking so it’s tricky at rush hours.

We made a reservation for 10 people. Upon arrival, they brought us to the table right away. Grand decorations giving relaxing bar vibes.

The food is good. Most dishes you can choose the spicy level. We had lamb, shrimp, chickens, naan and desserts. I would recommend to go in a big group so you can try different things.

Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani – serves max 2(hardly). It has the essence of Hyderabadi, but the spice level is mid, so not so good.
I am from Hyderabad.

Rogan Josh – It has a butte chicken/chicken tikka masala flavour to it. It’s not how a Rogan Josh should be, but it’s delicious.

Chicken malai tikka – Great! Wish they served some chutney with it

Lamb chops- decent.

Prawns with gunpowder – nothing special, literally what it says.

Chicken starter (that’s in the happy hour menu) – decent.

Tried paan ice cream, apricot delight, gulab jamun with rabdi, and chai tiramisu.
Tiramisu and chai lovers both are not good together- trust me. All the desserts lack sweetness in them, so if you want your desserts less sweet, they are good.
