Stopped in for dinner on a Monday night and the place was pretty empty, but you can smell the smoke as soon as you walk in, which I always find to be a good sign! Staff were very attentive and friendly. I got the 2 meat plate with dark chicken (love that I had the option for dark meat) and turkey, with mac/cheese and pinto beans. The portion size was great for $20 and the relish that comes with it was amazing, I could’ve eaten an entire bowl of that! Chicken was moist with good smoke flavor throughout. Turkey was the moistest I’ve had at a BBQ joint and still had good smoke flavor. Pintos were spot on! Mac and cheese was average, a little thick and bland. My biggest complaint was that the meat came out covered in BBQ sauce, I’m not a big sauce fan and theirs is really sweet. Restaurant was very clean, employees polite, and food came out quick. Atmosphere was fun, there’s about 8 big screens and several beers on tap, but the sound’s not overwhelming. I’d definitely come back, I’ll just have to get the sauce on side next time.

I’m not a fan of Full Moon, but I can’t have my way all the time! I went here with my husband (it’s Christmas), who likes their Riblets. They were underwhelming (chewy). The sauce is one note IMO! I had the brisket. I liked the portion size but it was lacking flavor and I’mnot a fan of the sauce. The green tomatoes were the best thing on the plate. I don’t understand their interpretation of Mac n cheese (the texture is like paste)!!! My husband liked the beans (which we did not order). He also liked the COLD fries (which we did not order). Apparently they got our order wrong and we ended up keeping the things we had not asked for so we didn’t complain about those things. His okra was cooked perfectly crispy (as requested)but had ZERO salt. The iced tea he had, was nearly see through! SERIOUSLY!!!
It had been years since I had been to a Full Moon but it just reminded me of why it’s been so long… Meh…! I don’t plan on coming back! Even if it is Christmas… SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT THOUGH…

What’s the point of ordering good food when you don’t even get all that you’ve ordered? Countless times I’ve received food from uber or other ways by ordering online, and every time something’s wrong with my food. Tonight I ordered a Kickin’ Cheeseburger, and barbeque sandwich, both with fries, muffins, and a pie. Guess what I didn’t get?—My cheeseburger—one of the main meals. What’s the point of having fries and a pie if I don’t get my main course? How do you forget a cheeseburger?! This isn’t the only time, I got a barbecue sandwich last time and got no barbecue on my barbecue sandwich.. inconsistencies like these have happened even time I order food from here. And I only got $5 back for my Kickin’ Cheeseburger which was around $10. The food is good but be careful when you order. Even when I went in person and picked up food something was wrong with it. ALWAYS check your meal before you leave the restaurant and make sure you have everything.

Hadn’t eaten at this place in years since they first opened on highway 280 in Birmingham, years ago. Very clean restaurant, with friendly service. Order was taken promptly and food came out pretty quick. I had the brisket with mac and cheese with baked beans. My friend had ribs with okra. Everything was fresh and tasty. I also had a slice of the chocolate pie. It was delish. Sweet tea was sweet like it was supposed to be! Will be back

Full Moon is “fast food barbecue”. The BBQ is pretty good, and the portions are large. The bakers (baked potatoes) are HUGE! And I liked the small taste of chow chow they add to the plates- nice touch!
They didn’t handle large orders very well. Our group ordered five pork plates and a burger, with standard sides. We got to watch many other people behind us in line (typically couples) get their food before ours came out. So keep that in mind.

Food was hot and flavorful, though a touch on the spicy side. I had a turkey sandwich which was pretty small for the price, but the food was good over all.
Fried green tomatoes were the best thing I had while there and the the Mac and cheese was unfortunately pretty bland and underwhelming.
Staff was helpful and attentive.
Not a bad place to check out, but prices were a bit high, so bring a full wallet.

This is the first time I had been to the full moon in Montgomery Al and it will definitely be my last. The people up front taking the orders were not friendly at all, it’s almost like I was bothering her. Never said hello, thank you, here’s your order or goodbye. Just an absolute awful experience and then the loaded potato was old.

NOBODY likes Full Moon Barbecue any better than I. I usually eat in Fultondale or Tuscaloosa. This is my first time to eat in Montgomery, Alabama. If you were blindfolded before you came in the door you wouldn’t know which location you were in. The food, the atmosphere, the service they are all top-notch. However, I do have one bone to pick, and that is the price. $21 for lunch today! I had a large barbecue sandwich, barbecue beans and fried okra and a small drink. Who can afford that?

First time to visit and was really impressed. The service was great and the food was delicious. The only issue that came to mind was with one of the sides. The deviled eggs were good but were marked “made with Wickle Pickles” so I expected a little more kick but I like things more spicy than most so this is just a personal preference. I also enjoyed mixing their normal BBQ sauce with their white sauce and had a marvelous flavor. I will be back for sure!!!
