I’m honestly really disappointed by what I witnessed during my visit. While using the restroom, I saw one of the managers walk out of the stall and leave the bathroom without washing their hands. The manager, who was wearing glasses and had curly hair, made it pretty clear who they were by greeting me asking how my experience was going so far.

What made it even more concerning was that before walking out, they visibly picked their wedgie and then just left the restroom without washing their hands. In a restaurant environment where hygiene and food safety should be a top priority, that was really disturbing to see.

Managers are supposed to set the example for the rest of the staff. Seeing someone in a leadership position ignore basic sanitation like handwashing made me seriously question the cleanliness standards of the restaurant.

It’s honestly hard to feel comfortable eating somewhere after witnessing something like that firsthand. I really hope the restaurant takes hygiene and health standards more seriously moving forward, because customers trust that the people running the place are following basic sanitation practices.
I would like to mention that everything else was great had a terrific pork belly fajita !!!

Superica Avalon absolutely crushed it. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming without feeling over the top. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic — you can tell the team takes pride in what they do. The food was outstanding across the board: bold flavors, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care. Every dish hit the table fresh and beautifully presented. It’s the kind of place where you feel taken care of and already start planning your next visit before you leave. Easily one of the best dining experiences in the area. Highly recommend.

Such a fun restaurant with good food! The appetizer of cheese dip was amazing! The shrimp diablo tacos were ok… fajitas were good, enchiladas were good & saad is big!
It was a little noisy to hear everyone inside. And the cold door opening by the kitchen was a little annoying. They fill up so make reservations. Parking in the North deck is easiest if you’re going.
This is a Ford Fry restaurant- be sure to collect a matchbook!
They have outside seating available. Avalon is such a nice place to walk around when weather is nice so save time for that. My dinner with a $6 corona and cheese dip was $50.

I did have trouble contacting them. I made reservations on Open Table and needed to add a few people and the OpenT website said to call…but no one would answer or return my call. They also have an annoying AI system that would hang up on me. I finally called one day at 3pm and was able to bypass AI and get someone to answer and update our reservation. Might be good if they tested that system more.

If you’re going, absolutely sit outside, as the exterior is absolutely conducive to enjoying a meal on a nice, sunny day.

The star of the visit was our server, who was INCREDIBLY courteous. At one point, she went out of her way to suddenly and pointedly tell us not to eat the beans and rice that were brought for the table, She didn’t tell us why but then proceeded to bring out a new rice and beans that looked slightly different. I strongly believe she noticed that we’d all ordered vegetarian items earlier, and she thus had these remade without animal products. Genuinely, this gesture wowed me, and I wish I had her name to formally thank her for her profound kindness and professionalism!

Prices were more-than-reasonable for the portion sizes, which were incredibly large! I ordered the Huevos Mexicanos, which came as a sky-high plate of scrambled eggs and looked as stunning as all the plates that came to the table. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get much flavor or salt, though I think it’s because I removed cheese from the dish.

Overall, this was such a memorable brunch because of the great company and phenomenal service on a beautiful day. Would recommend visiting!

First visit here. Our server Haley M was great, she helped explain the menu and was super attentive. Food was very fresh and seasoned wonderfully. Great seasonal cocktail selection. Looking forward to visiting again.

I went here late on a Saturday night and only had to wait 15 minutes for a table. Once we were seated, the service was really good. I split the large parilla mixta (steak + chicken) fajitas, they were delicious! They are served with lots of toppings and rice and beans family style. The flour tortillas seemed house made, and that really made a difference. We were offered corn tortillas as well. The decor creates a fun dining atmosphere, I would definitely recommend dining at Superica!

We went there for breakfast, and everything was absolutely delicious! The pancake was especially amazing — super tasty and gigantic! The service was great, and the food came out quickly and fresh. Definitely a place we’d love to come back to!

Update: This issue has been resolved from the extremely helpful and kind manager, Tiana. We gave Superica another chance and it was above and beyond. The food was flavorful and hot, our drinks were kept full and the atmosphere was happy and lively. We will be back again Superica! Thank you! Updating to 5 stars!!

My family and I have been coming here for years. It has always been our favorite Mexican/Tex-Mex go to. However, the last two visits didn’t hit the mark. After the first not so great visit, I left the complaint alone as all restaurants have off days. However, for this visit, I called in advance to make a reservation for 14 people for my husbands birthday. I spoke to the general manager and he informed me there was a table that could accommodate all of us. This was awesome news! He was super friendly and secured the reservation. However, upon arriving and waiting for the tables to be ready, we were unfortunately sat outside during one of the many cold fronts Georgia has been facing. I was not informed we would be having our meal outside. They did have heaters, but everyone was disappointed and freezing. Not to mention we had several small children in our party, including an infant. Service was good and our drinks stayed full. We ordered the queso and guacamole for appetizers. The my were both delicious but the waitress dropped the chips that came with the guacamole promising to bring us more but never did. I ordered my usual, the hard shell beef tacos. Unfortunately, this is the second time the meat was undercooked and extremely pink. I didn’t eat my food and didn’t mention it to the server as I should have. The party all got meals but no one received beans and rice with their meals. $18 for 3 tacos and no sides. This was so off par for this restaurant. I have tried to call the restaurant a few times to speak the the GM about our experience but I keep getting told that there is not a manager available or they are in meetings. I think it’s time to find new Tex Mex food…

Good, not great, with oddly too small drinks. We had to wait for about 20 minutes. It went quick. We are outside. It has a nice breeze coming through because of the layout through the buildings. We got the fajitas, tasted great. However it only comes with meat and onions, not peppers or other veggies, and we always remove the onions so there wasn’t much there. The chips and salsa options were good and fun. I got the Texas margarita because it sounded interesting, but man that glass was small. I was surprised. It tasted alright, but wasn’t my favorite flavor though nothing against it. I hesitated to order a custom one given what I just got so I decided on a draft beer. Geez. When that came out I thought I was in the shrunken world of Alice and wonderland. It just looked funny. Yeah I don’t get it. The prices seemed high and the drinks seemed small. I won’t go back probably but it wasn’t bad by any means, I enjoyed it, I just don’t understand some of the choices they made.

I visited back in early December 2025 for a friend holiday celebration (so a group of eight of us) but just getting around to writing this. It was most of our first times to this Avalon location, the restaurant was beautiful. It was super filled for holiday time but we were sat at a comfortable round table so we could all talk to each other. Caitlin H. was our server and she was fantastic. She helped us through the menu, made sure everything was brought on time and cleared away and drinks were flowing… And she even humored us as we sat for a bit after dinner to do an ornament exchange. Overall fantastic experience and Caitlin was great!
