Do I recommend this business? Yes. Yes. And Yes again. It was amazing. My sister found this spot and said it had good reviews. She brought me back a veggie taco. Let me tell you, it was a 10/10 but I thought it was good because I was starving. My nephew that doesn’t like tacos, smashed his and also said it was really good. I couldn’t stop thinking about the taco so decided to grab me two before heading back to my side of town. It seemed a little sketchy. You have to park in the back. They also have a small grocery store in the back. I was greeted when I walked in. The menu online isnt the full menu. They had a vegetarian section on the menu which I loved. The food was made fresh as you order so it was a small wait there was plenty of seating. They have a stocked fridge with different drinks. I tried the pineapple Fanta. It took me about 45 minutes to get home and my food was still warm. I smashed one taco and didnt have room for the second one. It was very filling. I appreciate having a vegetarian options on the menu for people like me who don’t eat meat. Make sure to check them out. They have different specials throughout the week.

First visit was on $2 Taco Tuesday. Between my husband and I we ordered 3 steak, 1 chorizo and 2 chicken street tacos. We also ordered 2 order ofelote corn and 2 jaritos. $30 for two and the lunch was great. Definitely will return.

Been looking for a good taqueria since we moved. This lil spot is great! Reminded us of some SoCal taquerias. We came in during the weekend, noticed they have a Tuesday taco special. Ordered a couple tacos and tortas. The tacos filled that craving need! Everything was fresh, the salsa was great, some with good flavor and good kick. The wait seemed about average, the staff was friendly, establishment was clean. Definitely recommended.

A hidden gem in Claremont!! If you are craving authentic tacos and burritos that are fresh and full of flavor, look no further. I usually do not give a 5 star rating unless its deserved and Mega Tacos exceeded my expectations. I come from southern California, San Diego and, therefore, have a long history of eating authentic mexican or Spanish food and I can tell you Mega Tacos comes the closest to authentic that you can get.
In addition to the excellent food, the atmosphere is quaint, clean, with outside heated seating and music. The inside has 5 or 6 tables that can accommodate 4 or 5 people each. The prices are reasonable and they offer a $2 taco Tuesday special.
I highly recommend Mega Tacos to anyone looking for that authentic, fresh taste.

The food is good which is what kept us coming back. But the customer service is terrible. There’s a lady with red hair and tattoos that keeps the phone in her apron and it’s on so the phone rings busy and you can’t order over the phone so we have to go in person. Earlier this week another young lady was very rude and short on the phone and said she couldn’t take our order, to call back in 35 minutes. She ended up taking our order and said it’d be 30 minutes, however when we got there she said it would be another 20 minutes. It’s been at least 3 times now that something is missing from our order. My husband spoke to the owner last time because she happened to be there and she gave him free chicharrón en salsa verde. Very nice of her.
Now today we ordered tacos and yet again a taco is missing from our order. We got charged for it, but it wasn’t with our order. I see other reviews sharing they were missing items too so this seems to be a frequent issue here. It’s very frustrating because it’s not until we get home that we realize, and it’s not even worth driving back for a taco.

As stated the owner has been spoken to about the issues and yet it happened again. You’re not making things better. You can’t gaslight your customers reviews to your liking when the customer service is terrible and something goes wrong again! Obviously many things happened before a review was even left. Take this review as an opportunity to do better and instead of making excuses accept where you can learn and grow as a small family business and do better to keep your clients coming back. To be fair we spoke to the owner and then also I sent a private message on Facebook, which was ignored and then I was deleted. When we called yesterday letting you know that an item was missing yet again instead of offering a solution I was told, “I don’t know what to tell you, I’ll talk to the cook.“ That is not good customer service, you always offer a solution. But that was not done. Therefore I am allowed to leave you a review based off of many experiences. Not just one. Keep that in mind that’s it’s happened many times now, I didn’t leave you a bad review the first time, or second time it happened. But the third time after many bad experiences here and terrible customer service. You just need to Do better and take accountability.
