Let’s start with the amazing stuff, the staff is patient, friendly and knowledgeable. Special shout-out to Bobby, who made this experience even more memorable.

The food smelled, felt and tasted like it had been made by a grandmother who cherished every ingredient. It’s as if I had travelled to another continent without leaving.

It’s a must-stop if you want asian food in Vancouver.

Went on Friday, Jan 9 for dinner before the TWICE concert. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Even before we sat down, my girlfriend commented on how clean the restaurant was and how nice the decor looked.

Our server, Bobby, was fantastic and helped us order the perfect amount of food for two. Based on his recommendations, we got the large plate of honey BBQ pork, gai lan with garlic, and a bowl of steamed rice. We were impressed by the rice portion; Bobby packed the rice so well that one bowl was easily enough to share for 2 people. The honey BBQ pork was tender with a great balance of sweet and savoury, and the gai lan was a perfect vegetable side to round out the meal. The total was just under $41

The highlight of the evening (besides the TWICE concert), however, was the service. When I mentioned I was curious about how the fatty BBQ pork compared to the regular version, Bobby surprised us with a small sample to try. That kind gesture really made our day. Thank you Bobby! We are already looking forward to visiting again.

Sheesh, why can’t this place be in Seattle?

The decor is absolutely on point with photos on the walls of the owners across the generations, beautiful Chinese paintings and poems that I kind of wanted to steal, artifacts and pottery, and every other aspect of their interior design.

Their BBQ definitely did not disappoint as their chicken, roast pork, and char siu were all super moist and tender. The hot lychee black tea after 20 refills (thanks to our awesome server Bobby) I still can’t get enough of. The beef curry was pretty good too, but I need to go back to try their roast duck and other options. We also got to try the cute koi fish-shaped lychee pudding which was refreshing and lightly sweet.

Service was as good as possible, with Bobby telling us about the history of the place, the design and all the art, and his Cantonese is excellent despite being from Calgary. Oscar was also a great server as was everyone else but unfortunately did not learn their names.

This restaurant is everything and represents not only Chinatown extremely well but Hong Kong culture also. I’m glad to have been able to try this place out and can’t wait to be back.

A friend from Singapore and I had an incredible lunch here. We ordered the Signature Four Treasure, Beef Brisket Curry, and Gai Lan with Garlic Crisp Oil. Everything was phenomenal—the roasted pork is a must-try!
The hospitality was truly exceptional. Bobby went out of his way to make us feel welcome, even treating us to samplers of the fatty BBQ pork, curry fish balls, and lychee pudding. I’ve never experienced such genuine enthusiasm and friendliness anywhere else in North America. If it’s your first time in Vancouver, make this your first stop!

We loved this restaurant from the very first time we visited Vancouver.

The staff and management provide exceptional customer care — everyone is friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel welcome. Their service truly stands out and makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.

The food is delicious and well prepared, with authentic Chinese BBQ flavors that are not greasy at all. Everything tastes clean, balanced, and thoughtfully cooked. You can tell great care is put into both the food and the service.

This is definitely a place we would happily return to whenever we are in Vancouver, and one we would confidently recommend to friends and family.

Highly recommended.

I think the food was really good but was hoping for bigger portions. The 2 meat platter was 28$ and I think I could’ve eaten it all alone. I’ve been to Bbq master in Richmond can you can get 3 items on rice for 19$ and there is equal if not more there. The fried rice was good as well but the gai lan is pretty bland even though it’s their most popular item. Servers were very friendly, hard to find parking in this area.

Ordered the “Leading the Charge – Celebration for Two” Year of the Horse 2026 Festive Set Menu.

It included the Signature Three BBQ Meat Chef Platter:
• Signature Crispy Roasted Pork Belly — beautifully blistered skin with that satisfying crackle, layered over juicy, flavourful meat
• Honey Glazed BBQ Pork (char siu) — tender, slightly smoky, with a balanced sweetness
• Premium Soy Chicken — silky, delicate, and deeply savoury without being overpowering
The platter alone reminded me how refined and technique-driven Cantonese BBQ can be.

The set also came with:
• Lap Cheong (Chinese sausage)
• Gai Lan with roasted garlic crisps — fresh, vibrant greens with a nice aromatic crunch
• Vegetarian egg fried rice — simple, fluffy, and comforting
• Hong Kong–style iced tea

Also added a side of Chaozhou-style marinated duck wings, which brought a deeper, aromatic soy-braised flavour profile that complemented the BBQ meats really well.

After finally trying it myself, I now understand why chefs keep naming it as their favourite Chinese restaurant in Vancouver. The execution, balance, and respect for tradition are all there.

The house special four-treasure bbq rice is so so authentic and delicious! The bbq pork & crispy pork are especially good. Beef curry tastes great too. All reminds me of the delicious food I had when travelling in Hong Kong (maybe even better)! Generous portion. Price is fair. Restaurant ambience is quite unique too. Will come again when I crave Hong Kong style BBQ!

Got the soy chicken, roast pork and gai lan with chili oil. The chicken and roast pork were perfect. The gai lan could have used more chili oil, I’d likely not get that again. But overall the food was great!

The staff was also super attentive which was very appreciated.
