Your Local Pub: From the comfort of the lounge to the crackling open fire on those cold winter days or the latest Fox Sports on one of our big screens, the 7th Ave bar is the place to be. Our regular events include meat pack raffles and live acoustic sessions every Friday and karaoke most Saturday nights. We also have lots of special events like comedy and live music nights Restaurant: We are open for lunch and dinner every day of the week, plus breakfast on Sundays. I’d give this place a solid 4 stars overall. The food was decent and enjoyable, with a few highlights and a couple of small letdowns that stopped it from being a full 5.
The steak was not too bad at all. It was cooked well, tender enough, and had good flavour. Not the best steak I’ve ever had, but definitely satisfying and something I’d order again. It felt like a safe, reliable choice.
For dessert, I ordered the sticky date pudding. The pudding itself was nice and rich, but it came with cream instead of ice cream. Personally, I think sticky date pudding is always better with ice cream, and that’s what I was expecting. The cream wasn’t bad, but it just didn’t hit the same. That was probably the most disappointing part of the meal, but it didn’t ruin it.
Service and atmosphere were fine, nothing to complain about, and the overall experience was pleasant. This is the kind of place I’d happily come back to, especially if a couple of small details were improved.
With a few tweaks, especially with desserts and small expectations like that, this could easily be a 5 star spot. For now, it’s a strong 4 from me.

A very welcoming restaurant with different areas catered for various customers. The serving staff were lovely and food came out promptly after we ordered. The food itself was alright – nothing fantastic, but the environment made it a pleasant dining experience. Reservation is recommended as it was surprisingly crowded even on a weekday evening.

Came for dinner on a Tuesday evening with a friend and was disappointed by the lack of coordination and professionalism in the service. We ordered both entrees and mains, expecting a traditional two-course dining experience.
Our entrees (chilli prawns and a share platter) arrived promptly, but before we’d even finished them, one of the mains—the pork belly—was brought to the table. I politely expressed my concern, only to be told, “the kitchen just cooks as the orders come.” Within minutes, the second main (gnocchi) arrived. When I raised the issue again, the waiter responded with noticeable attitude, saying, “Well, I like my entree and main separate too, but sometimes that’s just not how it works,” and added that they were understaffed.
If a restaurant offers entrees and mains, it’s reasonable to expect they’ll be served in order—not rushed together. Being understaffed is not an acceptable excuse, especially when diners aren’t in a hurry and are simply looking for a well-paced, enjoyable experience.
The food was decent, but the poor timing, dismissive attitude, and lack of professionalism took away from what should have been a relaxed and pleasant evening.

Myself, Husband & Toddler all went for a nice family dinner and had the absolute best experience. Food was absolutely amazing, waiting time wasn’t long at all which was truly shocking as alot of places have long waiting times. The service by the wait staff was so friendly and made sure our experience was one to remember. Kids eat free Mondays which was another awesome shocker too. The cocktails my husband said were so damn tasty, they didn’t stay full for long. Hahah.
Overall we had a beautiful experience and would 110% recommend to anyone and will be going again. Was worth every cent on food and on the tips for our waitstaff.

Very disappointing lunch experience this afternoon. Firstly confusion with price of one beer. Wall posters and bar stands showing $12, card menu with today’s specials $11 and $10 displayed on the monitor screen. Secondly food very average and small portions not worth their cost. Lastly opposite to other restaurants and bars weekly specials not valid on public holidays. We have gone there first time after a few years and definitely not coming back. Highly recommend Commercial Bar & Kitchen

Come to try this locality out after all the hype. Very laid back feel, great selection on menu. Started well & delicious till wife found two hairs in her food. Obviously put her off, manager was sincere, refunded her meal & gave free beverages. Mine on the other hand was delicious and fine. Hope to come back another time for something different

Came up from Mandurah for a Xmas catchup and couldnt have picked a better place! I had the Wednesday special ribs and wings, and my friend had fish and chips – both meals came out quickly, were perfectly cooked and very, very tasty!
We were served by Jen and Sharon who were both delightful and a credit to the establishment – welcoming, friendly and attentive!
Highly recommend this place, and will definitely be back!

Today I had the Thali – chickpea curry, prawn curry, naan, basmati rice,poppadom, salad served on a multi -plated tray. I love Indian food, and it was wonderful; the 5 prawns were enormous, and both curries fragrant but not too spicy, the naan fluffy and delicious and the rice just the right texture. The tomato, cucumber carrot, red onion and lettuce salad was a perfect compliment. Service was lovely and efficient.

We had an amazing lunch for one of our family member’s birthdays. A hidden gem in Midland, WA. We tried a variety of food options and all very good quality and reasonably good portions. Kids eat free Sun – Tue if min. spend of $29.50 per adult meal. There are a lot of daily specials available also. There are plenty of available spaces also that may be suitable for various occasions – Function room, top lounge, outdoor courtyard, for example.
