I originally posted a less than favorable review 4 months ago when the name was U Brick Pizza. We re-visited since they have undergone a name change to Ursula’s. We understood they made some changes to their recipes, so we gave it another try. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was great. Our server was quick and very responsive.
My daughter ordered the kids pepperoni pizza and she said it was the best she has ever had. I tasted her pizza and it was certainly an improved flavor with a good seasoned sauce. I ordered the Lobster Ravioli and it was terrific. The raviolis were stuffed with lobster and covered in a buttery bisque sauce.

We certainly recommend a visit (or re-visit) to Ursula’s. We understand the owner has experienced a significant family loss and we appreciate his dedication to the restaurant business. Also, kudos to the owner for listening to the customer and making changes. Keep up the great work.

6 people. Lunch around 2pm. Place was empty. Service great, but servers seemed to not know much English. Food not so great. Poor quality. Hamburger meat must be mixed with soy. U Pizza had good flavor but crust not good. Regular pizzas were good, crust good. Food just not good enough for the price…$$$$. Bathrooms were dirty. Bar area looked neat though. Maybe the evening crowd is better. Photos of appetizers, dinner and desserts looked better than what we got for lunch. I wouldn’t go back for lunch, but might try it again for a dinner date.

First time here and it was a pleasant experience.

Let’s cover some key points:

• friendly service
• food arrived in a timely manner
• main dishes were delicious
• desert was really good
• manager was involved with customers

Things that need improvement:
• tables were a bit shakey
• music was too loud (but was fixed before we left)
• menu was flimsy and needs some work

Overall, we had a great dinner and the bathrooms were spotless.

Looking to come back again!

Thank Raul and Pilar!

This place was so darn good! It’s very different from other pizza places, first of all their pizza is handmade from the dough and the sauce and you can definitely taste the freshness. My mom and I both shared the 10” pepperoni pizza and full Caesar salad! I was almost full from the salad that we split, I couldn’t stop eating. The water that they serve was also crisp and filtered. Most restaurants don’t even serve filtered water, it is almost always tap. I live nearby and this has become one of my favorite pizza places. Give this place a try!

We were not too impressed. We received rather cold and inattentive service. Our kids’ pizzas were totino’s frozen quality at best. One of our two other full sized pizzas came out as a kids size on the first go around – then after about 20 minutes they brought out a corrected one that was deflated-football-shaped and very undercooked. The decor, while nice enough, doesn’t have a pizzeria vibe at all. With all the pizza options around I doubt we’ll be back.

Update: I read more recent reviews, and I saw a trend that the restaurant has shown some improvement. Sadly, the owner’s response to my honest review was unprofessional and rude, so I will not give it a second chance.

I was excited to try a local restaurant. My excitement disappeared quickly. Service wasn’t great and incredibly unfriendly even though we were the only ones there. Pepperoni pizza was tasteless and greasy. Risotto scampi mentioned shrimp in it with shrimp on top. The two sad shrimp on top certainly didn’t make up for the few tiny pieces mixed in the risotto especially for $16! I also suggest reading the reviews on Yelp and then choosing a different place to dine.

We’re the only ones here. I don’t like empty restaurants but this is great because 2 waiters are taking care of us.
My daughter had a pepperoni and cheese pizza, she said it was great! My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs, he said spaghetti was ok but the meatballs were awesome. I had the Alfredo pasta with shrimp and mushrooms; it comes with chicken but I don’t care for chicken so I got 5 big shrimps; al dente pasta with good flavor.
I generally don’t write reviews on restaurants but I have to say; I like the ambiance; waiter and waitress were really nice and attentive and the dessert was perfect! We had the molten lava cake; good size and I loved the flavor!
We need more family own restaurants and support the good ones.
This is a good one. We’re definitely coming back!

Ursula’s… what can I say? This place is a gold mine just waiting to explode on to the Katy/Ft Bend food scene. Everything about this restaurant is can’t-miss. The Italian cuisine is top notch from the pizza and pasta all the way to the fresh gelato. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure every customer is satisfied and are by far the friendliest I have come across in quite sometime. My only complaint so far is that the place isn’t busy enough. I feel like more people need to come have the enjoyment that I have gotten out of the this place. Ursula’s, your future is bright. I can’t wait to see new menu additions and the direction this place is going.
