I was all set to pick up sandwiches from Little Lucca when I remembered a reel I’d seen hyping up Taqueria San Bruno, so I took it as a sign and changed plans.

I pulled in at 8:57 a.m. on a Saturday and easily found parking (a small miracle in itself). By 9:02, my order was in, and within minutes, a steady stream of customers started arriving to grab phone orders. Clearly, I wasn’t the only one with this spot on my radar.

I ordered two breakfast burritos, carne asada and carnitas, and had them in hand by 9:19. First impression: these burritos are HUGE. They also have a DIY salsa bar and include complimentary chips, which is always a nice touch.

That said, if you’re expecting a traditional breakfast burrito, just know that aside from the eggs, it leans more “super burrito” than classic breakfast. It’s hearty, packed, and incredibly filling. The portions alone make it feel like a great value.

Service was efficient and no-frills, and the restaurant was noticeably busier by the time I left.

Taqueria San Bruno absolutely deserves its flowers (Michelin nod or not), but I wouldn’t necessarily drive far out of my way just for it. That said, I’d happily return next time I’m in the area to explore more of the menu.

Now living in NYC, I’m deprived of good Mexican food. Always a treat coming to Taqueria San Bruno. Kudos to the staff (pretty blonde lady), who was smiley and pleasant, and as we came around late lunch our wait from time of order to receiving food was about 15minutes. As the early dinner crowd was picking up, she was letting customers know about the wait (25-30min) which I thought was a nice touch, letting customers manage their expectations. Love the chips and salsa, got 3 tacos especial (Carnitas, Carne Asada & Shrimp), and the bf got the carne asada quesadilla, which he couldn’t finish! All delicious flavors, generous portions, nice char on the carne asada and flavorful and crisp carnitas!

Highly recommend the super burrito! It’s juicy, creamy, and the portion size is perfect. I usually can’t finish a whole burrito, but I ate every bite of this one. The tacos were great too

Se4vice was awesome! The gentleman who delivered our order to the table, tall guy was cheerful. energetic and hr
helpful. Got two tacos, chicken and carnitas. The carnitas tasted good and had some crispy ends. The amount of protein on each taco was a lot. I was full off of two tacos and their house tortilla chips. The sauce bar was really good too.

The hype is well deserved. Excellent tasting food. Bad location with limited parking, but if you can get past that…. you will be delighted with the food. I got the shrimp super burrito and I was wowed. It was packed with multiple shrimp in every bite. I will definitely be coming back to try their other menu items.

Stumbled upon this charming taqueria while searching for taqueria’s we haven’t been to yet. There was little parking and a line out the door which I thought was a good sign that this place was going to be amazing.
Other people have said it and they’re right. The salsa bar is loaded with delicious, fresh salsa. I loved the salsa verde the most of all. I got three tacos al pastor and crushed them as soon as they weren’t too hot to hold.
I washed it all down with a small Horchata and walked away a fan.

Wow! These burritos are probably the best we’ve ever had. We got the Al Pastor and Veggie burritos. The Al Pastor was a bit sweeter than other places, with pineapple bits in it. Cristina went above and beyond to make the veggie burrito shine with fajita veggies and mushrooms, and even suggested we try sliced avocados instead of guacamole for a better texture. Will be regulars here!

I think this was a really appealing place to eat lunch. This restaurant can accommodate at least 30 people at once. The decor is stunning, the food prices are reasonable, and the meal servings are enormous. Lastly, the meal was flavorful and moderately salted. Most likely, the only problem you might encounter is finding parking. Recommend!!!

The place is kind of small in size but accessible. Friendly staff and portion of food is great. Chose shrimp spicy meal since I love spicy foods. However, it was too spicy that I didn’t enjoy the taste and just wanted to leave the meal. Sadly I left the food as I felt my lips burning and was hungry still as I was walking out the door.
Parking is off street no designated areas
