The food here is great, been eating at this place for many years we call it Ole faithful, since it has never disappointed and the servings are big and so are the tacos. They have many different plates to choose from so there’s always something for everyone. They serve, a few types of Mexican sodas ,beers and margaritas for those of you who like to have a cold one like me, with your meal, and of course yes they serve tea and lemonade . Now weekends can get crowded but ive never waited to long since they have plenty of tables and booths since the remodel last year. The staff if great and the prices are reasonable for the big portions. After 11am you get complementary chips salsa and queso while you wait for your food. Also after 11am Mon-Fri they have 3 daily lunch specials. Each day has 3 different plate specials to choose from. Plenty of parking and a drive thru window for those on the go. Definitely one of our favorite places to eat.

This is some of the best Tex-Mex food I’ve had in San Antonio so far. I’d probably eat here weekly if I lived closer. The place is beautifully decorated, and the servers are all so friendly! it does seem like most of the patrons are regulars. I had an antojo for the little cup of nachos cheese they serve you with chips & salsa! The Tejas Plate, which is pretty standard on any menu, is definitely the best one I’ve tasted. I’ve got to try more items on the menu, but I love the one I get so much. Even the rice and beans are some of the tastiest in town. Don’t believe me? Stop by and try yourself!

And if course, what keeps me coming back, the ooey gooey nacho cheese that come with the complimentary chips n salsa! All this for $8.99!

They have such wonderful service and amazing food here. It’s always packed and the line (if any) runs smoothly. The salsa is picoso and the margarita’s are jammin! Cheers to delicious food and drinks!!

They messed up my tamale order and would not give me a refund or offer a solution to rectify their mistake. They gave me just masa in a husk with a sliver of jalapeño. The masa was so bland! We were supposed to get bean and cheese with jalapeño. Their solution was to drive all the way back across town to pick up the correct tamales. I explained to them that I cannot make it all the way back in the afternoon since I woke up super early to drive all the way there first thing in the morning on the weekend to avoid this issue. They said all they could do was for me to drive all the way back to pick them up because they cannot give me a refund? Really? We tried eating these bland tamales but they were inedible. Don’t waste your money on these nasty tamales. They didn’t even put cheese in them!

Overpriced tacos with weird textured, paper thin eggs. I purchased one bacon egg and cheese taco that’s a quarter of the way full for over $4 . Very disproportioned. The majority of my taco consisted of the tortilla and a huge chunk of cheese wrapped up in a paper thin egg like a toddlers omelette. Will not return, do not recommend.

Found this Mexican restaurant a few months ago. Food is great, delicious. I recommend the traditional burrito of carne asada and the mini tacos. Their rice and beans are super good.
We have had their breakfast , lunch, and dinner.
For breakfast their weekend special is good. Good portion and also very delicious. I get their menudo with a barbacoa taco.
The only thing is depending when you go, some days services are slow and it will take a long while before you get your food.

It was our first time try this place out . My wife and I were in SA visiting my mother in law at the hospital and decided to try out. We love the atmosphere every thing looked clean . I ordered the burrito with chick fajita but could have used a little more flavor and it was to dry. My wife’s plate was better than mine but other than that it was good.

The menudo was also outstanding. I highly recommend trying everything at least once.
