Colony Diner in Wallingford, CT, was a great spot to visit with family, especially for their impressive vegan menu. It’s rare to find a diner with such an extensive selection of plant-based options, and everything we tried was fresh and well-prepared. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable, making it a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal together. Nice diner with one of the most diverse and elaborate menus ive ever seen. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. My omelette was so good. Ms. Sheryl was a great and attentive server. Ambience is ok – not a very modern or updated diner, but good food. Milk shake was a bit of a miss.

Colony has the menu of a TRUE diner with the modern touch of a gluten free and vegan menu! The food is fantastic, the service is quick and attentive, and the vibe is classy and cozy. If you’re hungry be prepared to spend a bit, but beware of the massive portion sizes. The gluten free pancakes with blue berries are the best gluten free pancakes I have ever had.

My wife and I come here frequently because of their extensive vegan menu. We’ve tried most all of it and it’s all really good. Our non-vegan friends always seem happy with their food as well.
Despite being busy, I don’t think we’ve ever waited more than 10 minutes to be seated. The wait staff is very friendly. And the food comes out quickly.

Quiet tonight. Huge menu and everything is done correctly. We had the Cuban panini, fries, onion rings and a chipotle burger. Since it’s Pi day, we also had blueberry. Cannoli and lemon pie. All really yummy. Great portion sizes, enough to share. Our waitress was super-duper. She even gave us a cup of whipped cream to take home to our dog since it’s his birthday!

The Colony Diner & Restaurant is a wonderful place to eat. It’s one of a few places I have been to in America that have a vegan menu in addition to the regular menu while is impressive as well. The vegan options are so delicious you wouldn’t even think they are an alternative dish. I had the chickpea “tuna” melt and it was amazing! The service was so friendly and welcoming. This place is phenomenal, a true gem! If you are in the area do not miss out, you won’t be disappointment.

These guys did a great job, incredibly detailed menu- I don’t know how they offer that degree of variety. But they did a wonderful job with our two meals. Very generous portions, very reasonable prices. The restaurant is lovely and well decorated. I would say it spotless but the floor is sticky everywhere. Nonetheless I intend to be a regular there.

Amazing New Years Day breakfast. Waitress has a photogenic memory. Six people she got every detail in one shot. They should consider expanding the seating some day, seems they could do more business if they did.
