Such a blast and awesome food for late-night munchies!” If you want a restaurant where you can dance on your table or around it, El Refu is the place to be!
We were a group of six having a great time together on a Thursday night, enjoying delicious food, refreshing drinks, and dancing to the DJ’s music. The party was full of energy, and everyone was having a great time. People at various tables were chatting and having a great time together, soaking up the lively atmosphere.
We arrived roughly an hour before the kitchen was set to close. The tasty, hot dishes arrived really quickly. We were amazed at how fast our order went from the kitchen to our table. The quesadillas, beef enchiladas, tacos, chips, salsa, and drinks for adults were all delicious!

We came here on a weekend and it’s like a club with a DJ playing good music. Its loud, just saying in case you want somewhere to have a conversation, thus wouldn’t be the best place. I got their top shelf margarita and street tacos. Best way I can describe my experience is not bad…not bad at all. Nothing too amazing, but nothing memorable. Kids these days might say mid. But not mid in a bad way. It’s just not bad. If you are looking for a quick bite and a drink, yeah, come here. I sat at the bar, and both bartenders were very attentive. Though, it was 1pm on a Sunday. Point is, I’d come here again if i didn’t know what to have and I was in the area. Not bad at all.

If I could I would give this place 0 stars. Me & my family came for a lunch date and while my mom was eating we discovered a bug in her food. Not only a bug but a moving bug it was still alive and moving through her food. The manager came over to apologize but also stated that the bug came from wood. Whether the bug came from wood or not it still didn’t justify the fact that the creature was in her food moving while she was trying to eat.

This Mexican restaurant was pumping club dance music Soo loud on a Saturday afternoon we could not have a conversation. We were there at 5:30pm and the server had to lean in to hear our orders which came back completely wrong. There is a DJ spinning good music for a club venue but not a Mexican restaurant.

It’s a bit loud. I wouldn’t bring kids to have a family dinner here, especially on a Friday night . The drinks are top tier & the food is good. I love the pastor tacos . The fact that they charge gratuities no matter how many people are with you even if it’s just yourself caught me by surprised . Also they have a live DJ who plays a mixture of music

First time here food good they cooked my wings to perfection! I don’t think I would eat anything else on the menu ONLY but I’m picky and they didn’t offer items that I liked. But for others it may work. But the drinks. Let ME TELL YOU I WAS WALKING OUT LEANING! THEY WERE STRONG!! I would be back if I’m in Humble. I was visiting with my sister so I don’t live in the area. But would definitely come back when I visit again for the drinks!

We stopped here because it’s close to where we live and we thought we’d give it a try. SO glad we did! Atmosphere is relaxed, authentic and comfortable. Chips and salsa came out first, and drink orders were taken. Chips were fresh and salsa was warm, tangy with a little spice. Yum! A few minutes later our server was there to take our order. No long wait. 🙂 We ordered the “No Name Platter” for two. It was DELICIOUS. My husband especially liked the little hot pepper that came on the tray and asked our waiter what they were called. He wrote the name on a piece of paper and brought him a container to take home. Service: Above and beyond!! Price point was average for this style of Tex-Mex. We will be going back again and inviting our friends.
