We were up in the mountains on a misty day, and needed lunch as we headed back to Charlotte. A lot of places were busy, even for late lunch, but we were intrigued and then glad we stopped. I had the Farmer’s lunch with a delicious buffalo chicken soup, cheddar cheese, fresh green salad, and bread. The kids liked their chicken, but also stealing my cheese and bread. My husband had a tasty Reuben, and we both had a beer. Loved the atmosphere and would come back. Nice service and clean bathroom.

My husband and I went for about a four day stay in blowing rock when I saw this pub online. I was determined to try it as I was really wanting to try the fish and chips which I did and they were delicious. They were crispy. Everything tasted wonderful flavorful. My husband had a pot roast dinner and that was pretty good. I would say the fish and chips is definitely better. Their service was good. I feel like the waitress could’ve been a little more attentive, but not something that would keep me from going back and the decor and the atmosphere was great.

The food is so good. The French onion soup is delicious. The half sandwich and soup combo is really good. The Guinness beer is really good. The waiter was so nice and said everything we needed to know before we could even ask. He said everything about the dietary restrictions for the specials and it was very helpful. Also the fries were so unique and absolutely delicious and the tartar was amazing! 10/10 recommended!

I only had a beer and Fish & Chips. Expect to pay $30 for fish & chips but they were delicious. Portion was enough for 2 though. Got there early for dinner on a Monday with no problem seating outside, it does fill up fast.

We arrived and the place was busy. We weren’t able to get a table together for our party of 6 ( they have a very limited number of tables that accommodate groups of more than 4). The place looked and felt like your normal run of the mill pub experience and menu options.
I had the open roast beef sandwich and my wife had the salmon BLT. Both were delicious. The fries (pub chips) were out of this world good! Perfect crisp and they were a flat shape.
The only reason for the lower score is because as soon as we say down we asked to buy my mother in laws table meals and the whole time the waiter lead me on like he was with it, and then he still let my mother-in-law pay after she had already bankrolled the trip. Just felt disrespectful. I don’t know if he thought I wouldn’t tip as well or what ♂️. I wish I remembered his name but I didn’t get the receipt to have it. I’d go back and try them again if we are ever in town.

Stopped in here twice….once for dinner, and once for beers. The beer selection is terrific, but the British food on the menu is outstanding. My wife had shepherd’s pie and I had bangers & mash. Both were as close to authentic as can be. Highly recommend.
Service here is top notch as well. You will never have an empty glass in front of you.

Oh you can’t go wrong eating at an Irish pub, but this one is exceptional. I had the fish and chips and they were so flaky with a very thin crunchy breading. 9 out of 10 on the plate licker scale. And the “chips”! Thick sliced round potatoe fries…so good!!! My wife had the tortilla soup and it was amazing! Everything that our table ordered looked amazing and no one complained.
