I had a fantastic visit to Greenwich Tavern. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a great mix of traditional charm and lively energy. The food was excellent — fresh, well presented, and full of flavour — and the drink selection is just as impressive, with plenty of choice for everyone.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely looked after from start to finish. It’s a brilliant spot whether you’re stopping by for a relaxed meal, drinks with friends, or just to soak up the atmosphere in Greenwich.
Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back.

This Iconic British local pub at the corner of the main entrance of Greenwich park.
Proper classic pub traditional menu and good quality food
The Sunday roast is our favourite and the Lamb shank is the best meat Delicious food and biggest portions in Greenwich , good value for money
Staff is not from British origin and don’t understand the British pub culture and tradition , because they don’t speak sufficient English question and request are difficult for them to understand but they are trying their best to give efficient service
Don’t ask for meal or wine recommendations they have no Idea which goes with which
Read the menu&wine list properly they are some good options and make your choices on your general knowledge
We absolutely recommend the Greenwich tavern it’s also Pets friendly and our dogs love it too

The Food was poor quality and very expensive .also there wasn’t much choice of beers . It cost us £125 for 3 simple meals a side of onion rings & a side of mac n cheese plus 3 small cokes and 2 pints of beer . It’s in a nice spot next to the park with nice atmosphere but way to expensive for the quality of the food there serving up .definitely won’t be going back

Really good end to dry January! Delicious Sunday lunch. Really excellent roast potatoes – salty and herby. The service was excellent, especially Fanni, and we could take our time over our meal. The only criticism is I’d rather the food was served on a plate than in a bowl! I also appreciated the low muzak
volume.
Dog friendly:)

The food is the highlight and I guess what you partly come for in a restaurant. The service was very slow (Saturday about 2pm) and it’s rather dark inside too. Outside is ok but nothing great.

So why I hear you ask do I give the Greenwich Tavern 5*? This is because we were kept informed by a charming waitress how long the food would be. She also checked regularly if we are ok. This is an unknown concept in most pubs and restaurants. We were also not charged the service charge without asking. Also unheard off. So all in all 5* experience. Thank you.

The food was tasty! Perfect atmosphere to stay all the afternoon chilling out with friends. We ordered some drinks and hamburgers, we waited a little to food arrive but it was worth it.
