We went to Golden Corral for Sunday lunch today selection was great everything was fresh We went about 11 15 on Sunday I just don’t eat buffers often because I usually eat smaller portions (meals) I did salad steak actually good cooked perfectly peppers & onions mashed potatoes & fried okra great tried to eat healthy tried a slice of Carrot Cake only ate a couple bites too sweet ok Enjoyed it but once a year enough for me

We ate here after a long day at the zoo, and overall it was a great experience.
The food was really good. All of the meat I had was especially tender and juicy, which mattered a lot after being on our feet all day. The vegetables were solid and well prepared. Some of the bread was a little hard, but that was honestly the only thing that stood out in an otherwise on point meal.
The waitstaff deserves a special mention. Everyone we interacted with was amazing…very sweet, kind, and genuinely friendly. That kind of service makes a big difference, especially in a place that serves a lot of people.
The atmosphere was good overall. It did feel a little stiff at times, and you can definitely tell it’s a busy, high volume buffet, which can make it feel slightly hurried when getting your food. Not a bad vibe, just the reality of feeding a crowd.
All that said, we were well fed, treated kindly, and left happy. Still a solid 5 star experience and a great stop after the zoo.

Atmosphere mid, expected from buffet spot like this. But service was exceptional and food was great and fresh. Buffet spots and GC can be made or broken on its freshness as premade food is always a risk so when we can find a location that does it right I always leave a review locations are always about 50/50 I find and this is one of the good ones.

I recently had a pretty bad accident. And lost some blood. So I am somewhat anemic with low hemiglobin. So I am eating much more red meat than normal, trying to change this. Therefore I came to Golden corral. Yes with my drink I paid $20. But where else can you go and eat an unlimited amount of steak on the buffet. And by the way it’s grilled right in front of you and get you get to choose your cut & preparation. Not to mention the enormous selection of other things – which I really wasn’t there for on this visit.
And it’s all very good – save their deserts which look nice but taste pretty anemic themselves. 😉

Everyone is always so nice. We had a small problem with something being a little colder than we liked, but Amy the manager was very quick to get it replaced and brought us some fresh to the table. Most of the servers are great! We always enjoy our dinner here!

This is one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve ever been in! The food was good, but a bit dry due to us coming close to close. Bethany was FANTASTIC! She greeted us right when we sat down, checked multiple times to see if we wanted drink refills or needed anything. She was also great at multitasking between her closing shift work and being attentive to her section.

Golden Corral is a fantastic place to eat in general but this one in Asheboro deserves some extra credit. This Golden Corral has the best staff, food and atmosphere of any I’ve been to. Some things Golden Corral does I wish other restaurants would do is 1 – take your money when you walk in and just get that part overwith. i hate going to restaurants and waiting for the ticket then paying at the table when your hands are all sticky. 2 – Buffet with lots of space and the ways it’s organized you don’t feel like you have to stand in line while others are taking their time. There’s no signs but it feels natural to just pop in and pop out at any place along the way – I’m the type to just Dip n git – but the way Golden Corral has it all spread out is just so much more efficient. Golden Corral prices are alway super cheap for the quality of food you get.

Good food and people are good BUT there is a STRONG SEWER smell it was so horrible all in the restaurant and in the bathrooms were really kicking bad odor. I hope something is done about it. I could not stand to eat there long…only stayed because I had paid already.

We were having a birthday dinner there, we drove 35 miles to get there because that’s where the 10 year old birthday boy wanted to eat. And this boy can put away food!! I can’t speak for everyone but I cleaned my plate. As a matter of fact, so did he, he filled a few plates and cleaned them all. That’s high praise from him since he is a finicky eater. There were 12 of us there and I think that everyone got their fill. The food was good, service too. The price was a lot more than before. Otherwise, everything was great!!
