Casual location for Neopolitan-style wood fired pizza and antipasti made with imported ingredients.

This might be one of the best Italian places in Dublin. Risotto was superb, very creamy and full of flavor. And the pizzas were fantastic, Zoe is the first spicy pizza that I haven’t feel I need the chilly oil, the vegetarian one was incredibly tasty with the sweet taste of the caramelized onion. The calamari were great as well and the tip of the dinner was their brownie, simply outstanding. The only downside I would notice is that the place is very loud, but all the rest is great.

This is a pizzeria I visited when I came to Dublin. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The pizza dough, sauce, and toppings are good quality. I also tried the salads, appetizers, and desserts and was pleased. Prices are in line with Dublin prices. The house wine was good, but I think it should be cheaper 🙂 I recommend making a reservation during peak hours and on weekends.

Authentic italian food. Excellent Tiramisu 9.10. Warm hospitality. Pasta was fresh 7.5/10 and we just adjusted the flavours with chilli oil, salt n pepper. Arancini was crispy 6.5/10 . Garlic sourdough 7/10.

As an Italian, I probably judge pizza a bit more strictly than most people. With that in mind, I have to say that Paulie’s Pizza is actually very good. For Dublin standards, it’s a genuinely solid Neapolitan-style pizza. I usually go for the classic margherita, and you can tell the ingredients are good: the tomato tastes right, the mozzarella is decent, and overall the pizza is well within what I’d consider a good standard for this city.
I go there quite regularly because it’s close to my home, and when the pizza comes out right, it’s definitely one of the better Neapolitan pizzas in the area.
The real issue, unfortunately, is consistency. About one time out of two the pizza arrives completely burnt on the bottom. I’ll attach photos to show what I mean. On a few occasions I asked them to remake it, and they did, but it still seems to happen quite often, so something in the baking process clearly isn’t right.
It’s a real shame, because the base pizza is actually good and the ingredients are clearly of decent quality. If they managed to be more consistent and avoid burning so many pizzas, this place would easily be one of my go-to spots for pizza in Dublin.

We loved the double pepperoni pizza and the Sonny one, arancini were wonderful, however the calamari wasn’t quite right, 6 strips of calamari, bread and tomato sauce, nothing special for the price. Very fast service and attentive staff, I intend to return.

Went to Paulie’s Pizza and the food really delivered.
The place itself was a bit chaotic, busy energy everywhere, but honestly once the food landed on the table, all of that faded into the background. The pizza was genuinely tasty, and that’s what matters most.
A solid spot if you’re after great flavour and don’t mind a lively atmosphere.

The meals were great. Decent portion sizes and service was good. Price was a bit expensive, and groups of 4 or more slap a big service charge. Typical Dublin prices really innit

The food, the atmosphere were quiet okay. However, for single customer seems to lack a welcoming atmosphere. I eat quickly in general, so I was grateful to be served tables and food without reservations. But they didn’t come to ask me how the food was like for the guests at the other table, and they seemed to be waiting for me to eat quickly and leave. And as soon as I finished, I took an empty plate so fast and dropped the bill, which seemed a little cold to me because they didn‘t do that for the other guests. And it was a little bit funny to me to choose option for tip when I have to pay. Haha….and no one said bye or thank you when I left. I understand how hard to manage busy, popular food&veberage business is but just I didn’t feel welcomed and rather be kicked out.

The spaghetti mardona is amazing we came back two days in a row just for it alone. The mussels and pizza were so tasty too, everything just had so much flavour!
