I went to Wayne’s Wings (Walzem location) with my hubby yesterday, and we ordered Boss and TX Honey Bee wings, large steak fries, and large Arnold Palmers. The wings’ crunchy texture was exceptional and held up to the sauces. The food was hot and delicious and did not disappoint. If you’re looking for delicious chicken wings at a great price point check them out.
My suggestion is to please add hand wipes to your restaurant for cleanliness as this will enhance customer experience. Great job overall!

I’ve been a fan of Wayne’s Wings since their small restaurant days on Austin Highway, and this Walzem location shows just how far they’ve come. The wings here are on another level. Both the boneless and bone-in wings are outstanding—the boneless are big, hearty pieces of premium white breast meat, while the drums and flats are always juicy, tender, and packed with flavor.
The sauces are what truly set Wayne’s apart. They’re handcrafted, bold, and creative—my personal favorites are the HLP (Honey Lemon Pepper) and the BOSS (BBQ Lemon Pepper). Both are absolute game-changers, and once you try them, it’s hard to go anywhere else. The wedge fries are fried perfectly, and tossing them in wing flavor is a must—lemon pepper on fries is unbeatable.
Yes, you may wait a bit for your food, but it’s always worth it. The quality and care that go into each order make Wayne’s Wings stand out far beyond just San Antonio. The building itself can get a little warm during the hotter months since it’s older, but the food more than makes up for it.

Came here for a late dinner & was thoroughly impressed! The crunch on the wings is amazingggg. I got the Texas Honey Bee wings and the Caribbean Jerk wings. The Texas honey bee sauce is spicy and sweet and super delicious. They have this sweet mustard dipping sauce that’s sooo yummy. I dipped my Caribbean Jerk dry rub wings in it. 10/10 wing spot

Omg! I went here because I heard Chris Brown had been here before his concert and let me say!!! The honey mustard Texas Bee, the funnel cake, the bbq wings and Philly steak was delicious!!! The staff, very welcoming and the nicest!!! The cleanliness, superb!! I’d highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!!

so so disappointing to go and not have a good experience and meal. First I want to start off by saying that the service was not great, the lady at the counter was rude and very passive aggressive trying to get us to hurry up and order(mind u there is no line and we are clearly still looking that the menu). Then when we order I asked for all flat and as u can see I did not get that. I also received the wrong fry order at first but the lady was nice enough to notice it and change it so I can give her that. Then on top of us paying $50 for 2 meals which in my opinion is not terrible if you’re getting quality and good wings we get the wings and they are not hot!!! The fries were okay but mid and I just expected to get fresh AT LEAST hot wings if you’re paying $50 for a meal… very disappointing tbh. And trust me I LOVE a good wing. I got the limeade at first and it tasted watered down so I switched the the sweet tea and it was very good and super sweet. 3/10 overall for me:/ The presentation makes the wing look phenomenal but don’t be fooled.

The service was excellent and very attentive. While the food did take a little longer to arrive, it is prepared fresh to order, and the quality made it well worth the wait. The fried dishes were crisp, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The dining area is on the smaller side, and with all tables occupied, it did feel a bit warm. Overall, a great experience with fresh food and excellent service.
Will definitely try out the other 2 locations and return to this one with family/friends.

This is probably the best wing place in texas. The Godfather and Funnel Cake wings are my favorites. I waited around 20 minutes for my food. The sweet tea tasted great and the food was delicious so overall it was worth it

So I heard that this place had the best wings in Texas and since I’m visiting San Antonio, I was excited to try. Well maybe it was an off day for them but they just really aren’t good to me. For one, I clearly asked for bone-in wings and I got boneless. I also ordered the Philly fries, and honestly, all the food lacks flavor. While they were a little busy, the food took much longer than I appreciated. The blue cheese dip is also not good. Overall, I’m disappointed with my experience. Maybe it’s because I got my food to go, but I don’t know. I don’t think I would try again. No hate to the restaurant, business was clearing booming and the atmosphere was nice, just really not for me.
