I was on business trip in St Charles and visited this spot in Geneva for lunch in a group of 6 people. If you want authentic Mexican food this is the spot. The food was amazing. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures. So you just have to take my word for it. Also, for parking do not park on the opposite side of the street because it is very difficult to cross. The traffic is flow is heavy at times and there is no traffic lights directly in front the restaurant. So be sure to part on the same side as the restaurant.
To tip off the amazing food was our server. I don’t know the name but she was so helpful, pleasant and bubbly, and she made the experience even more special. I did ask her to take a group picture. As we were leaving I did compliment her on her service. Date of visit: January 29, 2026.

This place is so cute and cozy. The food was delicious. We have the beer battered shrimp tacos, the bein trucha tacos and the pollo. The pollo was okay but the other 2 tacos were FANTASTIC!!! The papas and corn delicious!!!! They got all their sauces on point!!!! Guacamole fresh! Super cute and romantic ambience.

Stopped by Bien Trucha after a rough morning and got the most incredible service from Popis! Food and margaritas were lights out! I know I stopped in only a half hour prior to them closing and never felt rushed. I 10000000% would reccomend this place again and again. Not only is the atmosphere adorable, food exceeding expectations, but the service was lights out…. which is so incredibly hard to get post covid. Huge thank you again to Popis for everything. Will be back again next time in the area

Our server was Esteban. He is warm and friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The food was AMAZING – The chef’s special was “surf and turf” tacos: Ribeye steak with crab and aioli – it was THE BEST tacos I’ve ever had!!! I’m shocked I actually got a picture before they all disappeared. Pescado tacos and guacamole were also delicious. We topped it off with guava sorbet for desert. Super refreshing!
I hope they keep the surf and turf on the menu FOREVER. I can’t rave enough about it. This place is 5 stars!!!

The food was tiny, but filling and yummy . Lemonade is to die for. Prices aren’t too bad, but maybe not if you’re on a budget. The atmosphere was plain, but cozy. And I think every day there is a new, unique guacamole flavor. When I went, it was grape flavored but I didn’t try it. Tables are very small, so be aware of that.

This place is AMAZING! Food was out of this world. EVERYTHING we ate was outstanding. Vibes were immaculate, and drinks were a hit. Maddie was our server and took such good care of us. We drove an hour to try this place based on some good reviews, but honestly, it was a huge letdown. The portions were shockingly small for the price – definitely not worth what they’re charging. We ordered guacamole, and they brought it out with literally eight chips. Yes, we counted. We asked for more chips, and they never brought them. Just ignored the request.
The food itself was okay – nothing memorable – but when you pair that with tiny portions and unresponsive service, it’s hard to enjoy anything.
