Returning to Las Palapas for breakfast at 6:30 am. Again, easy parking, good service and tasty tacos. Drive thru was busy.

Revisiting Las Palapas after a few years for breakfast at 6:30 am.
I arrived and it was easy to find parking, because most of their business appears to be via the drive-thru at this hour.
It was open seating, and given it was a Friday morning at 6:30am, there was plenty of tables and booths to choose from. Juany came over and provided menus, and took our drink orders. She returned to take my and my guest order. We ordered a potato & egg taco, and a chorizo & egg taco. The tacos arrived after a short wait. Jauny did very well taking care of us, and thus the service was excellent during our visit.
I definitely will be back and look forward to my next visit. I hope that if you decide to visit that your experience is as good as mine.
Selling this location to help expand to Dallas is a huge mistake! It’s like the kind of decision that a kid out of a fancy grad school would make. “We can add revenue here by expanding our markets.” But the demographic and the heart is completely missing. The same exact thing will happen as it did in Cedar Park / Austin. San Antonio is your core fan base, and this location is way more than revenue…it’s a major part of the Palapas brand.
Please, please, please don’t sell. Mr. CEO we love you, but we really need you to carry on Ron’s legacy in a more thoughtful way.
Signed,
Huge super fan who has come here hundreds of times.
Food is excellent and reasonably priced. Large portions and tasty. I forgot to take pictures but the salad was huge.
Service is great. Paying at the cashier by some people costs them the atmosphere points. Our bill was handled by the server. She wished my sister a happy birthday but did not offer a dessert, which costs nothing when the bill is close to 75 for four.
This location parking was tight
Today not only did they hit a home run with the chicken mole plate special but Brooke in the drive thru had phenomenal customer service with a wonderful smile. Keep up the great work.
