Probably the best meal we had in our week stay at Panama City Beach. A short wait time gave us a chance to look through the gift shop before being called to our table. Service was great all evening. Food came out hot and looked great. Server checked on us to make sure everything was in order and our drinks were full. Great tasting meal.

Food was just average but the location and the atmosphere were awesome. Best to get there before dark so you can really enjoy the view out the back windows.

We visited Boondocks while on vacation in Panama City Beach, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The restaurant sits right on the bay with a beautiful view, and while we drove in, it’s really cool that you can dock your boat and eat if you’re coming in from the water.

The place has a rustic, beachy vibe that’s super laid-back and welcoming. While we waited, we browsed the gift shops and walked the docks where you can feed the fish—such a fun and unique experience that added to the charm.

The food was amazing. We tried the shrimp and grits, grilled fish platters, and Boudreaux’s Favorite Supper. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The hush puppies deserve a special mention—just the right amount of sweetness with a perfect crunchy bite.

Our server, Sandy, was phenomenal—friendly, attentive, and made our dinner even more enjoyable.

If you’re in PCB and looking for great seafood with a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere and excellent service, Boondocks is a must!

The food here was genuinely amazing. The catfish was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and honestly one of the better meals we’ve had in a while. My wife ordered a different dish and absolutely loved it as well—no complaints at all about the quality of the food.

That said, I was disappointed with how the pricing was handled. I ordered the lunch special: two pieces of catfish with two sides for $14.99. When the waitress asked what the kids were having, I explained they were just going to share with us. Instead of clarifying options, she suggested switching the meal from lunch to dinner, which became three pieces of catfish and two sides for $22.99.

What bothered me wasn’t the price itself—it was that this change wasn’t clearly explained upfront. For that difference, I could’ve simply ordered an additional meal instead of being automatically bumped to a more expensive option. It felt a bit deceptive and left a sour note on an otherwise great experience.

Amazing food, but clearer communication about pricing would go a long way. Transparency matters just as much as taste.

Everything was tasty though a bit heavy on the fried items. Interesting tchotchkes can be purchased from the store that you enter through (just a couple rooms and hallway to guide you from one building to the breezeway to the main restaurant. Overall nice feel by the Bay and worth visiting once if you’re in the area. Close to airport as a first stop arriving hungry or last stop to not leave hungry.

Stopped in for lunch. Seated immediately and met by our server. She quickly got out drinks to the table and asked if we were ready to order. We had been seated less than 3 minutes. We asked for time to look at menus. 2 minutes later, she’s back. We ordered, Shrimp tacos and lunch Fish. Food came out as quick as the waitress. Food was fresh and hot. Before we had eaten half our food, she’s back asking if we want a dessert. She also was trying to clear plates while were still eating… No refills were offered, until we were brought the check.

Bottom line. Cool place with neat appearances and really good food. The assembly line experience isn’t welcoming or fun. I at least like to taste my food. Maybe open the place up more if you want to serve more people.
