My favorite place by far for burritos in Tucson. Their house-made flour tortillas are so delicious and fresh (though the freshness level can vary some by the day of the week). Really good tasting flour tortillas that are also lard-free. The real star for me here is the battered and fried cauliflower burrito. It is soooo good. I do think that this is a place to get a burrito at, I wasn’t as impressed with the non-burrito options here like tacos/ nachos etc. I did enjoy their tortilla soup and for burritos I also really like green chilli one. I always want the battered cauliflower one though! Their beans ( vegetarian and vegan) are really good too. I love when they have the green salsa available with the burrito but sometimes they only have red salsa which is also good. Their green enchilada sauce is good too. I need to try the red enchilada sauce sometime. I didn’t like the lentejas (lentils) but only tried those once. The battered cauliflower burrito here is a must try in my opinion as well as their house-made flour tortillas. It’s a simple place that’s counter service with many options that are priced for various budgets and sizes. Very vegetarian and vegan friendly.

This is a great little spot that is likely overlooked, but they have delicious, homemade burritos (& more) with the BEST tortillas! There is an insane amount of vegan options here, and it’s all very affordable. I was in Tucson for the weekend and got take-out from here twice because the first time was so good (thanks to a friend for the local rec.) The cauliflower burrito was my favorite and I got it again the second time, although the cactus was also good. The chorizo breakfast burrito was alright, but I wouldn’t get it again. Absolutely worth the stop, especially vegans who like choices!

Excellent machacas and eggs, excellent flour tortilla, excellent hospitality from the owner. Great finish to my Tucson trip, looking forward to coming in again the next time I’m in town.

This place has changed I used to come here when I was little. Menudo is okay. The coloring is weird to me. The price is great though the burritos are amazing !! Horchata is okayyy

This place is slow, I’ve been literally waiting 27 mins for a sausage and egg burritos The menu is confusing. the wait time doesn’t match the quality of food. I rather go to saint Marys food / or barista del barrio in the area or a sit down restaurant they accommodate mobile orders and make them a priority over your food. The cashier register guys enjoys to hear himself talk and talks down to you if you ask a simple question. If you don’t plan ahead expect to wait

If I had to sum up my experience in one word, it would be disappointed
Tania’s has always been one of my favorite places. As someone who doesn’t eat meat often, I’ve loved having so many vegetarian options that are generous, delicious, and worth the price. Sadly, this visit was nothing like my past experiences. I don’t know what’s going on with ownership or management, but something has definitely changed—and not for the better.
I came with my family, four of us in total. Right away, the first impression wasn’t welcoming. The young woman working the front counter seemed disengaged, almost like she didn’t want to be there. She wasn’t friendly, didn’t smile, and certainly didn’t give off the warm atmosphere I’ve come to expect here.
When I ordered, I asked for vegan queso on the side and was told they didn’t have any. My boyfriend’s burrito was also supposed to have queso in it, but she didn’t mention they were out when he ordered. He only found out when his burrito arrived without it, and when he asked, she told him they were out.
She also didn’t give us an itemized receipt, so I couldn’t even verify what was entered for the cook to make.
-Our Orders
My son and daughter each ordered a breakfast plate. They enjoyed their food, but my son pointed out that for the cost, his plate had far less food than my boyfriend’s burrito, even though many of the ingredients were the same, and he was still hungry after finishing it.
My boyfriend ordered the XL Carne Asada & everything, it was enormous, so full he had to eat it with a knife and fork. It was filling up the entire to go box that it came in!
I ordered the Large Coliflor & everything, which is where everything fell apart.
The “& everything” option costs $3 more because it’s supposed to come with extra toppings and ingredients.
-My Burrito
Mine was supposed to be a large burrito, but it was smaller than the regular burritos I used to get here years ago. It collapsed in on itself when I picked it up, and while it did have other vegetables, the cabbage, one of the main fillings, was barely there, just a few pieces sprinkled in instead of a proper amount.
I went to the counter to ask for more cabbage. Then, after checking the menu, I realized it was missing cooked carrots too, so I had to go back again. Once those were added, the burrito was now filled out a little more and tasted good, but later I realized it was still missing pico de gallo.
By the end, I basically had to build my own burrito just to make it close to what I ordered. This is a vegetarian burrito, vegetables are far cheaper than meat, so there’s no excuse for skimping on them.
It makes me wonder how often this happens with take-out orders or catering from here, where customers don’t realize ingredients are missing until it’s too late to fix them.
I’ve been eating at Tania’s for years and have always loved their vegetarian and vegan menu. But after seeing other recent reviews and now having my own disappointing experience, I won’t be coming back. I work hard for my money and expect to get what I ordered, not be shorted on ingredients and have to fix my own meal.
Tania’s, please figure out what’s going on and fix it quickly. This is not the same Tania’s I used to love.

I pulled up to this establishment with concern coursing through my veins. “You don’t just come across a $6 burrito deal without consequences” I thought. As I walked it, I understood I was completely incorrect in my assumption. An extremely dashing man in a full suit greeted me at the door and directed me to the counter. He then proceeded to describe every burrito on the menu, and the history of how they used to be made without all the “extra stuff” (meat only). I went against his vision of my order, a brave play at the time. But what I appreciated most was his willingness to accept my differing opinion in taste. My order was accepted and constructed without any disdain. And what an order it was. The deal appeared too good to be true, and it was not. I will be returning some time soon, perhaps to visit my knight in shining armor, or perhaps to enjoy another extremely affordable burrito.

I ordered this from DoorDash and the 2 vegetarian burritos were amazing! The carrot bacon in an chimichanga with rice, jalapeño, and onions was fantastic. The veggie chorizo in an enchilada style was just as good. The flavors and size were amazing. Only downside was the expense. They both ended up being almost $30 burritos. But with that being said I would order it again in a heartbeat.
Photo of both of them polished and forgotten to take before. There were beautifully prepared and the tortillas were amazing!

Not many places get my review, let alone a GREAT one. Was in need of a couple options to add to a company potluck. The owner personally guided me through making a correct portion size for what was needed. Extremely kind BUT the kicker is the FOOD! Always amazing anytime we come here, extremely consistent, authentic, and leaves everyone looking forward to the next visit! See you all again soon for more great food!

I love coming to this place. It’s a great local business for burritos, bowls, taco salad, enchiladas and all things Mexican food wise. It’s made fresh and quick. I’ve been coming here for awhile now. The staff is always curious and helpful when we come in. There is tons of seating inside if you want to eat in. My fiance recommended it to me when I first moved down to Tucson. I have been hooked ever since. We typically come here for breakfast on weekends. My favorite is the bacon potato cheese regular burrito.
