At our Dalton, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

worst place I’ve been in awhile. went to the drive thru and they didn’t even fill my expensive drink all the way up. I guess that’s how they make money skimming from customers

I recently visited Captain D’s and ordered the Fish & Shrimp meal with broccoli, along with the Garlic Butter Shrimp and a Grilled Shrimp Skewer. Overall, the food was good. The grilled shrimp skewer was also flavorful and nicely grilled.
However, I was a bit disappointed with the Garlic Butter Shrimp—it was way too oily, which overpowered the flavor and made it less enjoyable. I think it would be much better with a lighter touch on the butter or oil.

I don’t eat fast food often so I select carefully. I’m a senior citizen and I have to say that not only is the food good but the service is too. Fast and very friendly dtive thru. It left me feeling good and blessed the rest of the day!

Ordered ultimate seafood meal. Got home and food was cold. Had to put okra, Mac and cheese, hush puppies in microwave. Ate fish cold and shrimp and gave away the crab cake. Will not be going back

The girls that work the drive through and inside counter desperately need to either be informed or reminded that the customers are the REASON they have a job/paycheck. Rude and apathetic, if that’s the best they are willing to do, let them be someone else’s damage to sales. Whoever has skin in this game, protect your franchise and brand. People will ruin it for free. You don’t have to put them on the payroll to do so.

If in a hurry i don’t recommend this place. Its usually packed and slow getting food. Very good though and is worth the wait if you have time. I have had pretty much everything on there menu and have enjoyed it all. I just don’t care for there chicken that much. There sweet tea is pretty good as well! They have healthy choices too from entrees to sides.
