This was my first time visiting, and it exceeded all expectations! The food was absolutely fantastic. The pizza was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the calamari was delicious, and the pasta dishes were outstanding. Even the bread they served at the table was fresh and amazing. The service was warm and attentive, and the owner’s hospitality made us feel truly welcome. I highly recommend this place for an authentic and memorable dining experience!

The place is clean, cozy, food and drinks are very cheap. Decent food for what you pay but both pasta and pizza were not tasty, the pomodoro sauce tasted blend. Tiramisu was very odd, with chocolate cake and nothing like the original dessert. Service was fast and friendly.

Today I visited La Cucina del Nonno with my family. They were about to close but the person in charge of the valet parking was kind enough to help us get in. Once we came in our server, a young lady kind of rushed us to order. But guess what!! Luciano a young but very kind boy came to rescue the night with a big smile and very helpful not to mention Jessica the manager came to check on us and from that moment on everything changed 380 degrees they both made our dinner a remarkable moment. Then we found out how delicious the food was everything tasted so fresh and their homemade galletas de nuez that Jessica gave us at the end of our meal were the cherry on the cake. I sure recommend La Cucina del Nonno to everyone who wants to have a great experience and a wonderful meal with friends and family. If you ever stop by don’t forget to ask for Luciano and Jessica for the best service ever and the best valet parking… defenetly two thumbs up

It’s impossible to say which restaurant in Chipilo has the best pastas, but Cucina del Nonno’s definitely in the running. We’ve had the pasta with pesto and arrabiata and both were excellent. So’s the risotto. Highly recommended but get there early since Francisco closes his restaurant at 5:00.

I have been to this restaurant twice: for my breakfast and lunch. Advantages:
– the food is served fast;
– with the breakfast they offer the whole pot of coffee, so you don’t need to call the waiter if you want to refill your cup;
– fluffy and large hotcakes.
Disadvantages:
– the place is very small and noisy;
– the food is of a low quality and not delicious for me, especially salsas;
– from the desserts tiramisu is mas o menos ok, but the chocolate cake is from Costco, just they sell it at higher price.
April 2023 update: tasty and fluffy pan cakes, delicious omelette with machaca and a big slice of a chocolate cake for a birthday child!

Great finding! The place is run by a local family and it’s located 15-20 min from Angelópolis area. They serve really tasty food with local and extremely fresh ingredients. The prices are very good, with good portions. Highly recommend.
