Great food in a really cosy place. The sea bass carpaccio is delicious and I recommend the lemon pie for dessert.
Best to book in advance.
I’ll definitely go back!

One of the best seafood restaurants in the greater Athens area. Fresh fish and seafood, always prepared with a delicious twist. The amuse buche soup in a cup they offer is to die for. Tastes to remember. Friendly, accommodating staff. When I visited, I was in a wheelchair due to foot surgery and they went over and beyond to make us comfortable.

Amazing seafood restaurant, hands down the best in the area.

Definitely great value for money as well.

All dishes are beautifully presented and very balanced flavour wise.

Definitely a must visit.

We went there for the first time in a Thursday at 21:30. The place was packed with people and fully booked.
We were welcomed seated swiftly and asked 3 times whether we were ready to order. Being there for the first time we needed a fair amount of time to grasp the small but full of elaborate dishes menu. We took a fairly large selection of starters and main course dishes and shared between the six of us. Everything came fast and was simply delicious. For some dishes like the octopus carpachio we made a repeat order. The house wine surprisingly went very well with the dishes chosen. The clue was a mastery in caramel ice cream and a lemon pie that was gone before I had a bite. All in all a great culinary experience. The bill about 45 euros pp including a heartfelt and deserved tip. Parking was a small problem in the area. I am already planning to revisit the place soon. Congrats!

Stumbled across this treasure of a restaurant walking back to my hotel in a nondescript neighbourhood I had booked for one night before heading to the islands. What a lucky stumble!
I was treated to a taste of decadently moreish homemade fish soup, followed by a beautifully delicate sea bream carpaccio served with a drizzle of delicious citrus sauce.
I would have been happy with that but there was more to come.
Grilled vegetables – aubergine, zucchini, tomato and yellow peppers, thinly sliced and grilled to perfection served with a delectable balsamic glaze. This came with a trio of homemade breads all with their own distinct flavours – basil, local cheese, aubergine and tomato.
The crowning glory, was the whole grilled squid – the most tender I’ve eaten, served with flavoursome cherry tomatoes and beautifully dressed with a little citrus sauce with a delectable olive oil and that’s it. And it was stunning!

I really wanted to try the desserts – they had lemon pie, profiteroles in chocolate sauce and one other on offer, but I was so deliciously satiated by all the previous dishes, that I reluctantly abstained.

What a superb meal – and the lovely attentive service matched the excellent quality of food.

If you’re in Athens, make the effort to try this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

Chef’s kiss!

This restaurant is an absolute hidden gem that should be on every food lover’s radar. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, this culinary haven offers a delightful escape with its exquisite dishes and impeccable service.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the octopus carpaccio. Each bite was a harmonious blend of delicate flavors and textures, perfectly seasoned and presented with an artistic touch. It’s a must-try for anyone looking to experience something truly unique.

The eel was another standout dish, showcasing the chef’s mastery in preparing seafood. The eel was tender, flavorful, and complemented by a subtly sweet glaze that elevated the entire dish. It’s a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality.

We also ordered daily fresh fish, today’s menu was Greater Amberjack. It was a true celebration of the ocean’s bounty. Each offering was fresh, succulent, and bursting with natural flavors.

Finally, profiterol was amazing. Definitely you should not miss this if you like dessert

In summary, Argoura is a hidden gem that offers an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you’re a seafood enthusiast or simply looking for an exceptional meal, it will not disappoint. Highly recommended!

It was an incredible experience. We listened to our waiter’s suggestions and didn’t regret it. Every dish was amazing. I especially loved every bite of the eel. I recommend their profiteroles, it was a cut above the other desserts. The house wines were also excellent, we had white wine. The prices are average. Highly recommended.

Must-visit fish tavern. This inconspicuous place offers a memorable culinary experience. The location is not great but the food is outstanding – all dishes were mouth-watering and original. The owner-chef stopped by our table to inform us on an unavailable dish and propose a(n excellent) switch. Great value for money too.
