Upscale, stylish spot for regional Mexican cuisine with craft cocktails and a pastry chef

I had high expectations coming here and I was a little disappointed. First the chair that we had was uncomfortable to sit on. It had the wicker type material that dipped down in the center and offered no butt support. Maybe it is suitable for bigger persons but I did not like it. I likes the craft cocktail. The ceviche appetizer we had was good but I thought the fish was swimming in the soup (sauce). The bread/ toast that was supposedly made on site was too dry for the tartare. The mahi-mahi was over done. We had 2 plates on the table and it’s such a shame they were very dry. The only dish I really enjoyed was the one with the bone marrow. Other than that I’m really sad that I couldn’t recommend the place.

The Food was amazing we got the tetela fill of tinga really good, ceviche is ok but nothing special, pollo en mole it was amazing the chicken was tender and super flavored, for desert we got arroz con leche an cacao, cacao is good but arroz con leche is on another level. if you visit order this desert you won’t regret it. Overall it was great , well worth it.

The value for the food and experience you receive is good. It’s obviously more expensive than any regular restaurant but it’s a nice try once kind of place. I had the Tetela which was yummy and definitely would recommend for a first timer. I also got the beef short rib and maybe I’m not the most experienced in short ribs but it had sooo much fat. There was also equal amount of meat on the bone though. Where my heart broke were the tortillas. They serve you flour tortillas with the short rib and it was those fake flour tortillas that overpower the taste of everything. I do recommend the sangria! It was yummy and refreshing. Also, the vibe is cool, the restrooms are fun and so is the music. I would return to this place as a happy hour stop, but not sure if I’d come back and dine.

Excellent Choice for a Large Group Dinner!
I had three recommendations for our group dinner of 14 people, and I am so glad I selected Tzuco!
Everything about the evening was fantastic. The food was delicious and served promptly, which is impressive for a large party. Our server was excellent, offering great suggestions (especially for the few vegetarians in our group) and checking in with us several times throughout the evening. Highly recommend Tzuco for a successful group event!

We dined last night and were blown away by the hospitality and expertise of the bartenders. They were incredibly accommodating, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about their recommendations. Each cocktail was thoughtfully crafted, and the bar menu offered inventive, delicious options that complemented the evening perfectly. The meals were out of this world, cannot recommend enough. The sauces were some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. A standout experience from start to finish—we’ll definitely be back for the excellent service and fantastic drinks.

The food was excellent — creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish had layers of taste and texture. The only downside was the cocktails, which were much lighter than expected. Still, amazing dining experience overall!

We went for a dinner and we didn’t have high expectations or any expectations just looking for good eats. The service was mediocre at best our waiter was not entirely helpful to us to pick out dishes that would suit us. We waited a long time for the drinks almost done with appetizer before they came they were actually decent. The tetella is the best thing we tried very different and clearly a lot of love that goes into making it and you can taste the effort. The mahi mahi was decent flavorful but nothing that was elevated or special. The ribeye was a let down it’s the most expensive thing on the menu and was lacking flavor and overseasoned. It’s not a steakhouse but it is elevated dining so I think just feels flat on experience. They also ran out of the dessert that was in season currently so that added to dining experience for us. overall this likely a place that is just missing the mark but the ambiance and atmosphere was very nice and you can tell they have put effort into building this place just feel the food was a bit of a let down

I’m usually not a fan of duck, but this place completely changed my mind!
The Duck Waffle here is absolutely irresistible perfectly crispy skin, tender and juicy meat, paired with a slightly sweet and savory waffle.
I actually come to Tzuco at least once a month just to have my favorite dish again .
Besides the food, I absolutely love the atmosphere the design.
The staff so friendly and helpful.
✨ My personal recommendations:
• Shrimp Ceviche – fresh, tangy, and perfectly balanced
• Duck Waffle – my absolute favorite
• Beef Tartare – top-quality meat and great flavor
Tzuco is a restaurant that’s not just about good food, but a full experience — delicious dishes,

Went for the first night of restaurant week with a big group. We had to request restaurant week menus. The tuna ceviche was way too acidic and pork cheeks and cacao dessert were just okay. Ordered a drink at the bar while waiting to be seated and was initially given the wrong beverage. Service at the table seemed disorganized as well. The table itself was large and tucked in a nook so it was hard to receive food/drink and get empties cleared from the back of the table.
I would potentially go back for the atmosphere and to try other menu items.

Honestly….this place exceeded my expectations. The only reasons I’m giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the chairs are super uncomfortable, and the drink I had was a bit sour, but would probably be great to someone else. The food….the service….EXQUISITE. Please get the short ribs for your entree – legit dream about them. I wish I knew how to cook it exactly like this!
